Hadn't been at the Tomahawk for a long time and the four of us decided on an impromptu mid-week dinner there. Fortunately décor hadn't changed and still has numerous native memorabilia, and the menu still reminded us of Mom's home cooking with meatloaf and Salisbury steak among other old favourites. The steak and mushroom pie was outstanding with big pieces... More

My husband + I live close by this restaurant so we are here quite a bit. The food is really good...my favorite being "Chief Simon Baker Burger"! Other favorites are the meatloaf dinner and their homemade pies! Delish!! The original owner of the Tomahawk BBQ traded with the local Aboriginals and has many artifacts, carvings + paintings lining the walls.... More

I always get the eggs Benny with extra bacon. Food and service are always spot on. It's always busy so that tells you they do it right!!

Everybody from the North Shore has fond memories of the Tomahawk, it has been a local staple since the 40's. They make the best breakfast and their famous Yukon breakfast, although it's way too big, is what I order every time! They also make amazing burgers and dinner favourites like roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and slow roasted turkey with... More

It was closer to lunch that breakfast so I had a burger. Remember this is not a licensed establishment so no alcohol with your meal. It's an older diner and probably best suited to serve breakfast. French fries were ok. The chief capilano burger I had was one that came with an egg and a wiener. The wiener was cold... More

We have visited Tomahawk for Breakfast so many times ... Always forget to review ... Their breakfast choices are excellent. My Mom like their eggs Benedict and I favor their unique and bacon which comes in dinner size portions. The service is always cheerful and upbeat. The coffee gets refilled promptly and the food tastes eggcellent! This place is the... More

Saw it on a episode of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. I'd never had a French Dip sandwich before so on my 1st trip to Vancouver I came to have the "Beef Dip" sandwich. First, this is a extremely simple dish. Basically a garlic buttered baguette with thinly cut pile of roasted, organic beef and a slice of swiss cheese. What... More

They've been around for years and still tiny inside but outside seating is helpful and the hostess is extremely efficient in getting the crowd seated. The huge breakfast is still huge and good. My only suggestion for improvement is to use real potatoes for the hash browns and make sure they're hot.
