When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The service was terrible! They were also having a function in part of the restaurant, so it was very loud, We ordered a set menu, and they started to bring some of the dishes before telling us they didn’t have one dish, also brought the...tasteless soup last! We had to keep asking if we were getting soup. Tried to order another dish, but they had no rice noodles! Really??More

As soon as my partner arrived he noticed broken china and dirty cutlery. He still ordered the food which then he noticed to have hairs on it. He is chinese and not fluent in English. He tried to talk to the restaurant manager who didn't...seem to take any responsibility and accused my boyfriend of putting the hair on the plate. My boyfriend paid 35$ and the service was terrible and the employees rude.More

They labeled themselves as a Chinese Fusion restaurant and I found a few dishes didn't bring out the asian/European favor. A lack of spices & seasoning somehow made the dishes blend or not outstanding

Recently, I have been hearing non-stop stream of raved reviews from some of my foodie friends and relatives, pertaining to the current state of ' The ONE's ' ultra-high cooking standard. Tonight's family dinner gathering provided me with a first hand look and taste. After...journeying through the indeed, outstanding and amazingly delectable, seafood-centric, Cantonese meal. The end result was such an impressive and delightful game-changer, I have no choice but to re-write and update Tripadvisor and my personal ' GTA Chinese Food Reference Guide ' to reflect this major change to our current Chinese culinary landscape. Sad but true. Based on tonight's experience, current popular Chinese eateries and foodie favourites like O'Mei. My Wonderful Kitchen, Chi-Star, Skyview Fusion, Providential 9, Casa Victoria, Chef 88 Elite......etc, unfortunately all need to move over to make room, at the top, for this newly resurrected ' Power House '! The whole package of Food Quality, Value for Money, Service ( our server Winnie was professional, super friendly and beyond attentive ) Table Setting and Decor....etc is IMHO, unparalleled amongst it peers and competitors! If stealthy Michelin inspectors are indeed doing their go-around. I will not be surprised if 'The ONE' might get a coveted 'Macaroons' from them! Yes! The food was really THAT GOOD! For our party of 9, our feast comprised of the following dishes: - Complimentary Soup-of-the-Day ( Water Cress, Preserved Duck Gizzard, Pork Shank and sun-dried dates ) - Pan Fried Live BC Spotted Prawns in Maggi Sauce ( Excellent, gorgeous tasting glaze. Shells were so delish and crispy, one could devour them....and those heads!! So good!! ) - Fried/Par Oil-Poached Live Wild Thai Goby Fish served with sweetened Premium Top Soy ( Grease-less, crispy and crunchy exterior, super-moist meat inside! Best part was the crunchy head with the huge cheeks!) - Rose Essence, Herb-ed Premium Soy-Sauce marinated Free Range Chicken. ( May be currently, the best rendition in town. Can rub shoulder with some of Hong Kong's best! ) - Deep fried Crispy Pork Spare Ribs with fried minced Garlic and Chili Salt ( Finger licking good! ) - Pan Fried Angus Filet Mignon with Honey, Grainy Mustard Sauce ( Tender, nicely caramelized and coated with a deliciously seasoned sauce ) - Sauteed long stem Chinese Lettuce with Fermented Bean-Curd and Chili-Pepper ( Great Wok-Hay ) - Braised Tofu, Clay-Pot Casserole with Shitake Mushrooms and Broccoli. - Stirred fry Flat Rice Noodles with sliced Angus Beef and Yellowing Chives ( aka Gone-Chau-Ngau-Ho ) - ( Nicely executed with good Wok-Hay and grease-less finishing. Taste better than look ) - Complimentary desserts of Chinese Red Bean and Tangerine Peel Dessert Soup ( only disappointment of the night due to lumpy starches used in thickening up the soup! ) Almond Cookies and Osmanthus jello.....these latter two a touch too sweet for my liking. Above food array paired with a great vintage year, off-dry German Riesling from a superlative Vineyard - 2015 Von Kesselstatt Scharzhofberger Kabinett and a top quality and finesse Pauillac 5th growth under Mouton-Rothschild ownership - 2005 d'Armaihac.More

After learning the area we we’re staying was predominantly culturally asian we chose to enjoy a meal at this spot after combing through numerous different sets of reviews. Know upfront this is not an “Americanized” version of Chinese food. It’s traditional Cantonese cuisine. Served in...a lovely, bit over the top space. Mostly large round tables populated by groups or families during our visit. Quite busy throughout our time here. One of the first things you will notice is a wall of tanks containing live seafood-crabs, lobster, shrimp etc-that seemed to get heavy use during our visit. Fresh seafood being brought to tables for guests to approve of before going back to be cooked. While dim sum is clearly highly rated here, for some reason (day or time maybe) we were not given a menu with any dim sum choices. We did receive two multi page menus along with two sheets offering different current specials. It was a bit overwhelming sifting through the offerings as many were dishes we are not familiar with. Lots of pictures helped. Service was polite and acceptable but some accents plus masks made communication a bit difficult. After combing the menu and remembering the reviews, our fist choice was the bbq pork and rice special. For 4.99 you get a bowl of perfectly cooked white rice and a portion of delicious traditional-not that red dyed grocery store stuff-bbq pork large enough to feed 4 easily. Some of the best I have ever had. Nice leftovers for next day. Also chose Spring Rolls with pork and chicken. While perfectly prepared, these we didn’t enjoy as the filling really had no discernible flavor and was an off-putting shade of brown. Our problem I am sure but we wouldn’t order again. Our last choice was our best. Beef with Mushrooms and Ginger. Absolutely delicious dish of sliced beef perfectly cooked with button mushroom halves and fresh ginger. And bit of green onion I believe. We didn’t have any leftovers with this one. Loved it. It was a bit pricey though. A unique aspect of our visit was getting to see, on more than one occasion, the traditional carving of Peking Duck tableside. The duck is brought out on a platter on a table with a large metal pike and placed on top of the pole. It sits at eye level of the female staff member who then carves the meat off the bone very delicately with a small cleaver and then arranges it around another platter before serving to the table. A very interesting experience. We enjoyed our meal and would try again.More

Very impressed: 1) Courteous staff: all were quick to serve and the manager (Helen) was so heartwarming in her greetings. 2) Sumptuous portion on all their dim-sum dishes. 3) Hygienic protocol: they even provided a large bowl of steaming hot water for you to immerse...the utensils before the meal. 4) Long wait? Nay . . . 20 minutes or so during lunch hour on week days, but it’s worth the wait. When we were leaving at 1:30, no waiting at all.More

We attended a baby birthday banquet. Restaurant is known for high-end so expectations are high. The materials used are high quality, such as abalone, swallow's nest (for dessert), large scallops, roast suckling pig etc. but the tastes are just good, not very good. Service is...excellent. A drawback is that in order to pack more tables in the hall, the circular tables are smaller size than standard, which makes everything crowded together.More

The hostess ruined the rating. Let in other people while we all were waiting with a ticket number. They just walked in and talk to the lady hostess then waited by the fish tanks then a few minutes later they got a table. That was...2 tables that walked in to talk to her. Waited over 40 minutes just to try this place. Dim sum was good and looks well presented . If you go early before 11am the price is cheaper on the week days and weekends. Expect huge line ups and long waits $$$$ 5More

Very popular. Gorgeous dining room. Worth the wait. The prices seemed a little pricier but the freshness and size of the dim sum compensated. We loved everything. We tried one chef’s dishes . The fried lotus root with egg yolk. It was good but I...think I would have preferred it without the egg yolk.More

Being in a plaza just off Hwy 407 it has ample parking. The decor is upscale and tasteful. Certainly one of the best in the area. The food was also very good...no complaints there. The service was not bad, but also not particularly good. Our...table was full of used plates and they never attempted to replace them with clean ones. Also the serving portions are huge. Great when there are many of you, but not designed for just two customers.More
