The baked goods are phenomenal but don't expect courteous staff. We dropped by the week after labour day (they were not busy) and the staff acted annoyed that we asked a few questions. I guess with zero competition, people will return, but if you lived near the big cities.....you would be out of service in no time flat! What happened... More

We were in Parry Sound and wanted to find the best bakery to buy some treats. I found Red Door on Trip Advisor. While they had several varieties of butter tarts, ultimately, I found they lacked flavour, were too sweet, and the crust was very lard-y. I ended up tossing them the next day, as they weren't worth the calories/sugar.... More

I love these sausage rolls, they remind me of the ones my grandmother used to give me 50 years ago. They offer to warm them up for you, but I prefer eating them cold as years ago there was no such thing as a microwave and the memory has been etched in my mind and taste buds. The butter tarts... I visited several times to pick up some butter tarts. On my next visit I noticed fresh baked pies and tried to purchase a cherry pie. The young lady told me there were none available but recommended a mixed fruit with a crumble topping. I am a pie fanatic, so I splurged and bought the recommended pie. When I arrived... More

We just happened across this bakery and it was absolutely worth the stop! Amazing butter tarts and the selection was very large. There were peanut butter chocolate, maple bacon, peanut butter and jam, coconut, white chocolate cranberry, pecan and of course just plain to name just a few. They sold sausage rolls that were real sausages in a wonderful pastry.... More

I have been passing this spot for years. It used to be Jimmies Esso. Jimmy is gone now and so is the Esso. Delicious goodies! I love the eclairs. Unfortunately, so does everyone else so you have to happen by at the right time to get one. They have so many good things it is hard to choose. Their pizza... More

Every week, I ride (a horse) up in McKellar. On the way back I treat myself to hot apple cider and a butter tart. Always great. Lovely people .. and very community minded. By the way, the photo is NOT the Red Door Bakery. I hope they will change the photo to show the building at Hwy 124 and Hurdville... More

This little wonder we found on the way to our cottage. As soon as you entered the doorway, you could smell the fantastic foods that they had prepared. Everything in there looked great, especially the cookie counter. We had a variety of cookies and butter tarts. All were tasty and a very nice treat. I would recommend stopping if you... More
