My friend and I were pleasantly surprised at the lunch we had ordered. It was delicious although we did throw the owner off a little when we asked for a glass of wine. His expression was worth the visit. It is a very friendly little restaurant with extremely good food, but don't look for fine dining although you can expect... More

The wings, ribs and the pulled pork are all great. If you haven't tried them, get them with their signature sauce to start. The dry rub (fried) on the wings I find is better then the sauces but obviously it's your preference.

Driving through Newmarket, we searched this place out due to its excellent tripadvisor rating and were not disappointed. We've lived in the southern USA and can attest that the BBQ here is the real deal, even down to the side dishes. We shared the brisket, which was delicious. Wait time was not bad and service was good too.

Any comparison to our American neighbours we take as a huge compliment! We do put our own Canadian spin on our bbq and we are proud of it.Thanks for the kind words Cheers More

A small unassuming place, but if you love a nice smoke on your ribs, Big Bone BBQ is the place to go. Tender, and tasty, the ribs and wings are the best we've had anywhere. Really "finger lickin' good"! You won't be disappointed. Tip: We usually order for pick-up and eat them at home.

Big Bone is very generous with their portions and has reasonable prices! They have great combo meals for those that want to share with 2-4 people. Their staff are really nice too! Only downside is that it gets very busy on the weekends so depending on the time you go, there can be up to a 40 min wait for... More

Thanks for the kind review! Takeout makes up a big part of our business and its always a good idea to call us well in advance on our weekends to cut down on the wait. Appreciate the staff compliments as well and they are happy to be here. Cheers More

It was off the beaten track for us, but taste buds always like a challenge! RA and CK were done work, so we all agreed to meet up and chow down! RA is our designated driver, to the quieter hamlet of Newmarket, just north of Toronto. Lucky for me, I wore sweatpants. The food did not take long to cook,... More

I think stretchy pants are going to be part of the Big bone new clothing line! Great idea. Thanks for the great review and we appreciate your patronage. Fall off the bone ribs are not always the best indication of a perfectly smoked rib. There should be some pull when they are being eaten otherwise they might be too mushy.... More

Sunday dinner we wanted to try something new so I went on tripadvisor to see what was around us and this little place showed up so we thought let's give it a try. Let me tell you it was delicious. Authentic BQQ joint, the wings were awesome, their ribs were awesome, excellent cornbread even the onion rings were good. We... More

Thank you for the awesome review and we are so glad you enjoyed your first visit here with the family. The party packs are a great deal for larger groups and there is normally lots of food leftover! For the party packs when you are eating inside the restaurant we dont normally bring out the extra bbq sauce but all... More

Love Big Bone. Ribs are fantastic. Pulled pork is good also. Wings good, but nothing special (but I will still gladly eat them). I go only for take-out which is fast if you phone ahead and friendly staff/owners who know their BBQ and happy to talk about it if you ask. Inside is kinda' divey and quite small, maybe 5... More

Hey Jordan.Thank you for taking the time to write a great review on our place. We appreciate your views and I can see you have passion about southern bbq! When we get a craving for some wings Big Bone BBQ is where we go for pickup. Service is good. We have only used take out but they do have some tables to eat in.

Takeout twice. Pull pork, lots of ribs, chicken with fries. The BBQ is just fantastic. The pull pork delicate and not super heavy. Just enough sauce put onto the meat. The meat is always the star of the meal.
