Fish & Chips. Such a simple sounding dish yet so often bungled. It seems that more often than not, the breading is too thick or the chips are soggy, maybe the whole dish is overly greasy, or the fish itself isn't fresh. Yep, there are...More

After reading all the glowing reviews for this place, I was looking forward to some amazing fish n' chips. Being from Victoria and having lived and commercial fished in many places on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland, I've had the good fortune of enjoying...More

These guys do fish and chips right! You can build your own fish and chip meal from type of fish to how it is cooked! The service is great and the prices reasonable. How can one town have so many great places to eat?

Based on TA I was not disappointed. Options are traditional fish and chips, grilled fish or panko crumb batter. I went traditional and was not disappointed. Well worth the visit. See my other reviews for Port Alberni.

Heard lots about the restaurant so had to try it. The interior is very much in keeping with the church it was. We ordered the 2 piece cod fish and chips. The food came right away and filled the plate. Two large pieces of fish...More

This place lived up to it's repetition for great fish and chips. All the variations at our table were excellent. I would go back again!

We can grill the fish so it is gluten free. We also cook the fries in a separate deep fryer from the battered fish, so they are gluten free also. Owner

Bare Bones: an upscale fish and chip restaurant featuring west coast halibut, salmon, cod and prawns. Sides include hand-cut fries, caesar salad and coleslaw. Try your fish grilled or choose our famous beer batter or panco bread crumb coating. Always fresh and delicious! Look for our patio on Johnston.
