I have been eating here for a couple of years now and the food and service never fails. Friendly staff, with good knowledge of their menus. Like most sushi places in small town BC, it is run by Koreans rather than Japanese but it is very good. Highly recommended if you are in downtown Campbell River looking for dinner. Never... More

Met a friend for lunch, both of us curious to see what was new since they recently changed ownership/management. Neither of us could see any difference in interior or menu. Food was still good.

The ingredients were fresh, the rolls were delicious and the atmosphere was lovely! what more could I want! Great service and good portions with fair prices. My husband and I stopped here during our trip to the island for dinner and absolutely loved it! I think the place is new, as I do not remember it 2 years ago (we... More

Took my sons here for lunch to celebrate reportcards. Everyone ordered chicken A, a bento box. The box includes sushi, teriyaki chicken and veg, gyosa, tempura, salad, rice... I am sure I forgot something! Everyone cleaned their boxes! Fantastic! Thanks for a great lunch!

I go here quite often to pick-up lunch, and I've eaten in plenty of times. Service is prompt and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Food is good, not exceptional and they've switched over to using farmed salmon which is not my ideal choice. Overall a good place for a quick bite to eat.

Have been here before.. not bad..but on this visit the restaurant smelled. The bento box I ordered had tasteless chicken teriyaki and the tempura batter was heavy on the veggies . The raw fish was small portions and not flavorful . I was disappointed.

I simply cannot understand all the good reviews for this place. Sushi Mong is like hundreds of allegedly Japanese restaurants in the Lower Mainland -- assembly-line sushi, not all that fresh or well prepared, heavy, greasy tempura, and a restaurant that smells like fish gone beyond its prime. The place is quite dirty, and the washrooms were a disgrace. I... More

Sushi Mong is an absolute must go to when in Cambell River. The staff is very friendly. The dinnerbox menu is good food for reasonable price.

Nice and quiet restaurant across the street from the Coast Discovery Inn hotel in Campbell River. They have affordable daily specials at around $8-9 each. It does not look like much from the outside, but walk in if you like sushi, it is worth it. I went to this restaurant on two occasions. The first time I ordered a lobster... More
