A beautiful mediaeval pub in the charming town of Eye, Suffolk. Award winning Cask Marque ales served direct from the barrel, traditional pub food plus a daily specials board. Recently taken over by new Chef Manager Leigh Gardiner.
Pub is tired, tatty and appears unkempt. Further put off by customers vaping at the bar.
The bar staff were either absent or struggling to work the till. That said the ale was well kept if a little over priced.

We booked in here for a meal whilst on holiday, on arrival the staff were very friendly, and they had a table inside for us but we decided we’d like to go outside as nicer.
It’s a very rustic pub with mostly locals drinking.
Our family of 5 enjoyed a nice meal here during a recent trip to the area. There is tons of outdoor seating which is covered, so it felt very relaxed despite the pandemic. The meals were tasty and plentiful, and the staff were top class.

went today, having enjoyed previous meals plus well kept beer. Something has happened - the roast lunch is now AWESOME. I went for the beef, but was overwhelmed with the veg. Hard to imagine a better sunday lunch. Also great value
