When we rolled into St. Andrews at about 7:30 one evening last August--very hungry--we popped into Lobster Bay for soup and salad. Now, three months later, we cannot remember a thing--neither good nor bad--about our meal. So, unremarkable.

The lunch here was great. My son had the lobster and ate every single piece! We ate outside so we also had a nice view.

We were hoping to go out on a whale watch, but the weather turned very cold and windy so our plans changed. Unfortunately for us most of the shops and restaurants were closed because it was Thanksgiving Day in Canada 10/10. Thankfully the Lobster Bay Eatery was open and they were having a special Thanksgiving Day dinner of turkey and... More

Vegetarian shepherds pie was very delicious. Mashed potatoes on top were just like mom used to make. There was a love band there on Thursday night and it wasn't too loud or invasive on conversation.

We were in town for the day and stopped in for lunch. The seafood chowder was better than the straight lobster which was a bit sweet for our tastes. The lobster sandwich was loaded with meat and delicious and so were the broiled scallops. Quite enjoyed the small homey place.

We stopped in here the first night of our trip, I ordered the seafood chowder and my husband ordered a hamburger. My chowder was excellent. Warmed my tummy on a chilly night. My husband was not happy with his burger but he is very very picky. It was a little pricy for what we got but they do have specials... More

My second visit to St. Andrews, after a few years, compelled me to visit this restaurant again. The first time, the wait was a deal breaker. This time we lucked out, arriving early afternoon, on a misty, foggy day at the tail end of tourist season. What can I say, other than, Ya'll Come! The Fish in the fish and... More

Based on the prices this had to be the worst seafood chowder we've ever had and the price enough to make you choke.$25 for a chowder that had at best milk for broth had to empty four cracker containers to give it body . My mistake for thinking the $25 should be the best ever to my surprise was the... More

There's not much open in St. Andrews after 8 or 9 in the evening, and we'd forgotten about dinner, so went looking and found a pizza joint and, across the street, the Lobster Bay. It's basically bar with a small dingy dining room - not promising. We sat at the bar and started to feel better right away. The bartender... More

Went after whale watching (2 adults, 2 teen girls) and we really enjoyed the food. Fish and chips were excellent, poutine was good. Had apple blueberry crumble with ice cream for dessert which topped off a good meal. Location is great, parking isn't too bad to find, service was friendly. All in all a good time was had by all.
