Great food, good service, nice atmosphere, I've been coming here for years and it doesn't change. It's almost always busy but with good reason. People are always skeptical when I say little old Fernie has a great sushi restaurant, but it's true and I've had great sushi all over the world. Get the tuna tataki for sure.

This place was hopping when we arrived after a day of skiing. We only had to wait a few minutes before a table freed up for us. We had an assortment of sushi, edamame and sake and were not disappointed. I ordered some spicy sushi with their homemade Volcano sauce in it. I love spicy food and this roll did... More

Never cease to amaze my family and I. We go very frequently and will be back always again and again. Such a great asset to Fernie. Love the environment, energy and food. The servers are always great, as well as the chefs in which you can watch if you sit at the bar! All in all amazing place!

Be there at 5 or wait forever, no reservations, great food. Need to get a larger venue restaurant is in a house so space is very limited

This restsurant is so consistent both food and staff are the same. A few new additions but minor tweaks. Cannot fault this place. It is amazing. We keep coming back year after year. Sadly no kids this year and no booth. Still had a fabulous experience twice!!!! X

They don´t take reservations. Therefore, we had to wait for about 45 minutes in the "lounge area". Honestly, we were really disappointed about Fernie´s number one of the restaurants. The rice was definitely too hard and didn´t taste very well. Furthermore, the sushi wasn´t really creative itself as we know from other Sushi restaurants in Canadian towns. Sorry, but no... More

Exceptional restaurant, have been going to yamagoyas for many years, from the time he was up on the ski hill. The food and service have always been exceptional. The sushi and rolls are exceptional imaginative and delicious. Best recommendation is come early, they do not take reservations and during the ski season it is always packed.

Highly recommended by our family, we had to try. We were warned there would be a wait as the place was very popular and not very big. It was definitely worth the wait. We were told 30-45 mins but were seated with drinks in about 25 mins. Server and hostess were both very accommodating for 4 newbies. Food was hot... More

Best sushi, honestly can't find a comparable place in Calgary. It's always busy so arrive early! Everything is delicious and the service is fast.
