What a night! Visited here after a staff outing to Epic Life (at the same location, also awesome!) for dinner and drinks for our staff outing. Food and drinks were fantastic, staff were lovely and the setting is just the most perfect spot. The actual...building itself is beautiful and very well-maintained.
All in all, a perfect night out. Would highly recommend for a visit, a stay or corporate entertainment such as ours.More
Having ridden from Portsmouth, 10 thirsty and hungry riders arrived at The Hub and what a find! So much space; great staff, good coffee and the sausage sandwich was a sight to behold. It was worth the trip for that alone. First, but not the...last visit; shame its a 100 miles away.More
Visited here when staying at the on-site campsite. Had a great family breakfast - worth a visit in its own right if you're passing an want a place where the kids can run around. It has a small playground, and goats and chickens for the...kids to look at.More
I visited the Hub several times last summer for meet ups with friends and found it to be friendly and chilled even when busy. Today was my first visit since last year and something has definitely changed. The staff are still very friendly and kind...and helpful, but they seemed quite overwhelmed and were very busy. The menu is foody and not overly simple food which is fine but then it has the price tag associated. We waited quite a long time for our food (over half an hour for a sausage roll) but it was nice; didn't feel like a lot of food for the money, but maybe that's me having a wrong impression of value for money.
My main concern was the flies inside the cafe. While I was waiting for my tea, there were several plates of cakes etc waiting for their coffees to join them before they were taken outside. And there were flies all over them. This really is horrid and they need to sort this aspect out asap. A combination of being a farm plus doors open for ventilation I imagine, but gross. Surely they should prep the drinks first then put the cakes on last..?
Due to the rain we've had, the sandpit is muddy and wet in places which is fine but we weren't quite prepared for it! So puddlesuits and wellies required.More
Last visit we were very impressed with their food, this time had a vlt and a sausage sandwich found the bread rather hard and dry, sausage eatableish but the sauce garnish overpowering same had to be said about the vlt sandwich. It seems they have...completely revamped what was a great menu last time we visited, apart from the food a great experience.More
Wow!!! What an absolutely gorgeous place! The surroundings are beautiful, the food and drinks delicious and the staff so lovely!!
I came here as a surprise for my Hen Do and I was blown away! The staff were very accommodating and even put a bottomless...brunch on for us when it wasn’t they day it was supposed to be on!
I highly recommend.
Thank you so much!More
We visited the Hub twice, with a little walk to the castle between visits!
First off was coffee/tea and a millionaires shortbread which was really tasty.
Second round was bacon sandwiches. There is a good selection of gluten free options and the gluten free bacon...(and egg) sandwich was so good! Definitely recommendMore
We visited twice and were perfectly pleased twice. From the sausage and bacon sandwiches to the smoked trout and Welsh Rarebit, the dishes were put together really nicely through an interesting combination of flavours. These of which paired nicely together to form satiating portion sizes....Lovely area and friendly staff too. Nice atmosphereMore
