I had the seafood chowder and sandwich which was very good. You sit inside but it overlooks the harbour which is a great view. The homemade coconut cream pie was delicious!! Highly recommend. The server was very friendly.

We had milkshakes that were amazing, and homemade pizza the sauce on the pizza is a secret sauce and it was amazing. The view overlooking the wharf was great. Access for handicapped people was good too.

We were out and about on day 2 of our visit to Lunenburg and were looking for something local and 'family style'. They 'specialize' in pizza apparently and maybe that's what we should have had. My wife had a small donair and I had a 'Battleship' sub. The sub had 3 thin pieces of deli meat, a smattering of shredded... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on two different occasions and both times we impressed. The first visit we enjoyed the fish and scallops served with coleslaw, homefries done to perfection and a slice of homemade bread that was sooooo good. We topped that off with a slice of homemade coconut cream pie that was to die for. The... More

If you want to soak in the view and be in the perfect tourist spot, this is a good place. As a bonus, it used to be the town's jail, so it is fun and interesting. If you are looking for good food, perhaps you may want to go somewhere else. I chose to go with pizza, which is their... More

My husband and I are fairly picky eaters, so we tried to find a place that had a variety of items. We are glad we chose Big Red's!! They have everything from seafood to pizza. My husband doesn't eat seafood and I don't like mayo but we both loved the lobster roll! it was just amazing! I had the fried... More

We were looking for a light lunch and wandered into Big Red's and ordered the mussels. The servings were very large, unadorned and served with garlic butter. Exactly what we wanted. Servers were very friendly and the price was right.

We stopped in for lunch during our visit at the Fisheries Museum across the street. The menu was decent, with a good range of foods that appeased my picky children (and in-laws!). While the restaurant could probably stand a bit of an update, the food was served quickly and we received friendly and fast service. The location was perfect, and... More
