Had high hopes after reading reviews, restaurant area needs a good clean it was very dirty inside, as we waited for our food we were interested in all the articles regarding new owners and how proud they are to be in gibsons so was expecting good food at least, ordered cod and chips, I watched the girl make everything so... The Cod Fathers is just a ways south of the Sunshine Coast Highway but it's a find in terms of the food and reasonable prices. The premises are somewhat tiny but housekeeping is good (neat and tidy). I would recommend the Mom's Platter (cod, salmon, oysters, calamari and fries) for about $25........enough for a light lunch for two adults.

We visited Cod Fathers on our "Taste of the Landing" tour. The fish and chips taste we got was fabulous! The fish was delicious and the fries were nice and crispy. Will definitely return.

Stopped on the way to the ferry and got a quick snack. Good food but make sure to ask for extra crispy fries. I saw an order when I walked in and was happy with getting the extra time in the oil. Portions are not large and prices are not low but they are tasty. Takes about 10 - 12... More

We shared the classic fish & chips. As a fairly experienced fish & chip eater, I rate these as "up there" with the best. Not overly battered & good flavour. There isn't much room to sit out, but there are many spots around if you want to take your meal to-go. The owners seemed to genuinely cared that we enjoyed... More

The cod and halibut and chips were excellent! To be honest, was not expecting the best and had not intended to go here except Sharkey's was closed. Very pleasantly surprised. Service very friendly and accommodating. Split shared meal into two trays without being asked. A little pricey compared to our usual places in Lower Mainland. Owners were thrilled and grateful... Wonderful fish and chips, not too much batter and they serve the BEST coleslaw ever. She makes her own dressing.

Used to be the best fish and chips in town. Terrible now! New owner better improve or they won't make it in this small town.

Came for some fish and chips with my husband and was greeted and served by the owner of the restaurant. We ordered the ling cod. The owner suggested that we share a two-piece order since the fries portion is so ginormous. Our food came split into two baskets of fish and chips; how considerate. The fish was cooked to perfection:... More

It's a cute place with personality to boot. The owner does the cooking & talks to you the whole time she's deep frying your fish or a yummy corn dog. The serving sizes are big with a basket full of REAL French fries. We will go back again & again.
