My wife and I were staying over the road and decided to give it a go. The menu features typical pub dishes which are cooked very well. Very much approved of the inclusion of kidney in the pie which was packed full of meat.
Booked a table for family party of 11, staff happy to accommodate, plenty of room and selection of food and drink to choose from. food freshly cooked and tasty would definitely recommend for family with varied tastes
Disappointing Sunday Lunch. Vegetables were frozen not fresh and then overcooked till soggy. Lamb was OK, over cooked, but with nice gravy, yorkshire pud and roast potatoes.
Sort of pub food acceptable 30 years ago but not now. Expectations much higher than this now.
Was a bit disappointed that you couldn't have a starter with our Sunday roast but was so so glad we didn't as the roast was massive. Beautiful roast beef with all the trimmings complete with a gorgeous Yorkshire pudding,Was that full neither of us could...More
Popped in yesterday for lunch whilst visiting my stepdad. The pub is lovely and friendly and the meals were fantastic. Large portions that are well worth the money and super tasty. Hopefully we will be back soon.
