This is a great pub and only just misses out on being a fantastic pub by our dogs not being allowed to enjoy the place as well. Managed to get in after three days of trying! Well worth the wait though, steak & kidney pie to die for, tender lamb steak but worst of all was the pudding board - jam sponge and custard. Great location, good company.

First time eating here & we only live 10 mins away. Well I wish we made the effort of coming here before. Hubby had mix grill- he throughly enjoyed it. I had chill con carne, & I must say I'm the fussiest of eaters and I loved it. I would definitely have it again. Friendly landlord and landlady, even the... More

Although the restaurant is pleasant I prefer to eat in the bar area, it has that country pub atomosphere and beautiful views of Brown Clee. The food is standards pub grub but is very enjoyable, the staff are always pleasant and willing. It really is a lovely place to eat especially in the summer

Great atmosphere in this lovely country pub, we called on a Friday night from Wheathill caravan site next door without booking and had no problem getting a table. The food was cooked to perfection, I had the mixed grill and what a platefull it was along with a separate tray of chips, the wife had Venison Borgignion and it smelt... More

Called in on the way back from Powys after picking up a new puppy. Stopped here for a bite to eat and found as a previous reviewer has said that you can only sit in the concreted outside area if you have a dog with you. We had an 8 week old puppy and wanted to sit away from the... More
