Stopped here for lunch en route to Yeovil. It's not a particularly attractive looking pub with bland decoration and functional furniture. Typical pub menu so expect the usual suspects. Our food was mixed - very good brie/cranberry/ham ciabatta but not so good tuna melt which was all bread and very little filling. On the positive side the service was friendly... More

Two weary travelers, haggard and road-worn, in need of a couple of jugs, happened upon this oasis for troubadours and men of good spirit. After finding all other dining quarters closed due to automotive misshappery, the tapster refired the kiln and produced for us two gratuitous portions of scampi and chips. After our humble contribution to his monument of world... More

The service stations on the A303 are generally poor This lovely pub has welcoming log fires, friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. Very easy parking just off the A303. This road is crying out for good pubs and snack bars along the route and the Bell Inn is your best bet,

Stopped enroute to Gatwick to start our holiday. Seemed good from the outside - breakfast sign a little off putting - made it seem like it could be a greasy spoon affair but the pub is pleasantly spacious. Sat by the lovely wood burner in a quiet corner. Lovely little areas to eat but overall first greeting was a smell... More

the best thing about this pub is that it is dog friendly ( which we actually found out too late!). It's ok, but the food is rather inclined towards the stodgy. My husband said the beer was good.

Very nice staff (think was the guvnor) but really standard motorway type food and easy stop with parking off the A303 but £26 for 2 ploughmans (camembert still solid in the middle) and !pint and a lime and soda is excessive Would not use again

Stop here for Breakfast on route to Devon. Busy which I feel is a good sign. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and reasonable price. Nice little pub with a real friendly, family feel.

Arrived at 2.40 yesterday for a late lunch. Some people were ordering food in front of us so when they had finished, we moved forward to place our order but were told the kitchen was now closed. We asked if there was something, a sandwich maybe, but they said no! Firstly, I find it amazing that a pub closes at... More

Firstly I'd like to apologise for not being able to cook for you on Monday, but we do finish at 3pm and close the premises in the afternoons Monday to Thursday (Friday, Saturday and Sunday we are open all day). If we have put quite a few orders through to the kitchen near 3pm then we do tend to stop... More
