Splendid establishment with real ale, real local cider, real people, and real food. You could not ask for a friendlier place that holds onto old world charm and hospitality. Felt most welcomed by all the locals and particularly Chris the landlord. Brilliant time every evening...More

Limited tables meant a half hour wait for a table but we had a drink and looked at menu by which time table was ready. Home cooked food for reasonable price.

Really good meal, generous portions. Friendly and helpful staff. Great beer, lovely Merlot. And very good value. Not the nicest decor, but don't let that put you off - can't fault it otherwise.

Good food, well presented and good value, well worth stopping if you are passing by. Music perhaps a little loud and the staff could do with having their conversations at a slightly lower volume, however, this is offset by a really good meal.

The owners could not have been more helpful. We booked and nipped in to get a sample menu. Rang order through because of the children and everything was organised for our arrival. Food was great.

Only visited the once and it was a truly local pub that I would think doesn't change for anyone ... It was ok but I think you could find a lot more reliable ones in the vicinity

We don't have a children's menu but do welcome well behaved children as we are a small intimate dining experience who welcome children at lunch but unfortunately not in the evening.
