Booked the Red Lion purely on spec as made a late decision to go out for scram. What a superb choice, friendly local pub with a smashing menu. Great service and attention without being overbearing. Give it a try.

A group of 9 of us booked for Sunday lunch as we were staying near by. The food was great and the kids enjoyed the children’s menu. Quick, friendly service, nice atmosphere and good value. Would definitely go back

I know they are not open Mon and Tues. We left a provisional booking on the answerphone and it was fine. I think life just moves at a more sedate pace in Kniveton than in the city! Who has got it right :-)

We don't have a children's menu but do welcome well behaved children as we are a small intimate dining experience who welcome children at lunch but unfortunately not in the evening.
