We stopped in on our way back to victoria from up island, and we were so glad we did. The food was great, the service excellent and the view from the outside patio was amazing. We had the ceasar salad(made at the table), seafood chowder...More

Albeit I haven't been stopped in Cowichan Bay for probably two years, even though I live only a few kilometers away (and I've driven through it often enough), I thought the Masthead Restaurant would be a decent pace for my wife and I to celebrate...More

boiled ribs with Bull's eye sauce and a pool of mayo really? mussels & clams very weak broth no chorizo. If these are average evening offerings then just go for a beer or a coffee on the deck and enjoy the view, very over rated.

We have always enjoyed a special visit to The Masthead but this last visit was pretty disappointing. The food was fine - but they didn't have the wine on the menu I wanted and they didn't have the appetizer my partner ordered. The server should...More

Great meal, we ate at both the pub and hotel to the south of this restaurant, they were average, but this place was great, attentive staff, fresh seafood, 3 course prix fix was an excellent value!

We parked right in front of the building and the first thing we noticed were the dead plants in the flower boxes. This could have been a hint. My boyfriend ordered the man steak and I ordered the pasta. We really do not have any...More

Scallops and risotto, mussels, prawns and tagliatelle pasta.... excellent! Tough cut of rib eye and the other steak was underdone. Asked to finish our cocktails before appies served but that was ignored. A patron played the grand piano - clearly talented but SO LOUD! The...More

Okay so I am a foodie. This restaurant has some skill in the kitchen. Is it expensive? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes! Caesar salad made at the table is a classic art and it works for me. Beautiful cut of steak cooked perfectly with...More

You will have to go tk their website I am afraid for this. For a fun experience you can take a boat shuttle called Greylag Tours back and forth to the restaurant from Genoa Bay or Cowichan Bay to the restaurant.

They are only open for Supper starting at 5 pm. You will not be disappointed. You find it very relaxing so in reality it is a dining experience.
