We stopped for lunch at The Kings Head after a walk up to Gunnerside Gill. The fish and chips were delicious, and the gluten free Peroni was very good! The outdoor seating was well spaced out, and Covid friendly!

Visited for dinner and lunch on separate days and enjoyed some very nice food, beer and local company. The King's Head oozes warmth, charm and friendly local cuisine which makes it a 'must visit' for anyone staying in the area. Highly recommended.

Yes. Lovely, friendly service. The website says food served until 8.45 but I would go earlier. Before 8?
