Fabulous food, service and ambience. We celebrated a special family birthday and the staff went out if their way to make it a special occasion.

found by chance suggestion of another restaurant which had shut early... and what a find, probably the best Italian meal i have had outside of Italy. Excellent service, ambience was really nice, food was great and excellent value for money. a shame we were tourists...and only visiting as we'd be back againMore
Definitely recommend visiting! Superb food, atmosphere and friendly staff. We had pasta dishes, pizza and desserts. All great produce and presentation. Will be back!
The food was absolutely lovely, I had the meatballs which were amazing! But even more outstanding were the staff, who went above and beyond to accommodate for our large party including young children and were all so enthusiastic.
I wasn’t that hungry & they didn’t let me order off the kids menu which is so not cool. Other than that.. food was lush 💗✨🍝🇮🇹🍕More

wow what a great find, lovely staff, great menu , fantastic will definitely be back well worth a visit ..............................
Had to write to congratulate the boys Eddie, Elly and the rest of the crew. Understaffed with a full restaurant they coped brilliantly with no noticeable problems., food and service was as good as usual. Well done chaps.
A long established and popular restaurant on the main road through the village, it’s quite a good size internally and also benefits from a conservatory at the front which is a pleasant spot, although with the windows open during the recent hot weather there was...quite a lot of noise from the road. Parking is rather limited in comparison to the size of the restaurant, and a number of diners had to park on the narrow lane at the back. The menu offers a comprehensive selection of pizza and pasta dishes, as well as several other options. We started with some nibbles from the specials board which were olives stuffed with meat and fried in breadcrumbs. They were ok, not quite as tasty as I was expecting perhaps, but pleasant enough to chew on. I wanted to leave room for desert and so dived straight in to a main course of a classic Spaghetti Carbonara. This was very good, not overly creamy as can sometimes be the case, and plenty of bacon in there as well. Across the table, the Spaghetti Polpette with meatballs in a rich tomato sauce was slightly less successful perhaps, with the meatballs having a rather pronounced flavour that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, fennel perhaps? The tomato sauce was decent and rich though. A desert of Amaretto Tiramisu was a bit of a twist on the classic, and liking both Amaretto and Tiramisu that was one I had to try, and I wasn’t disappointed. Quite a subtle Amaretto flavour, but a very good dish overall. Again, the Strawberry Cheesecake across the table was perhaps not quite as good, I’m not sure if they’re previously frozen or bought in, but the texture definitely reminded me of something I’ve bought in the supermarket, and the strawberries on top certainly did not appear fresh. Nothing at all wrong with it, but not quite as good as it could have been. Overall, I was very impressed with this, despite a few minor niggles with some of the dishes. The staff were all friendly, most of the food at least was very good, and the prices were reasonable. It also makes a pleasant change to not only have no service charge added on, but not even the option to add one, as the waiter just tapped my card on his machine.More
We went for a walk around Yatton which should have got us back to take our pick of places to eat. Unfortunately we got a bit lost. I had done a bit of research as to which places would be latest taking orders, not just...open. Alfresco was the latest option. When we had an idea of when we would be back to the car, I gave them a ring at about 9pm to see if they could accommodate us at 9.30pm. Given it was a Tuesday, and not the busiest night of the week, they asked if we could come earlier, but i explained our poor planning and they accepted the booking. Arriving at 9.25 there were a few people leaving and also finishing up, so were very grateful for them keeping the kitchen open. My partner had wanted to visit for some time I found out but it was new to me. Food was excellent and the service great. Big thank you.More
I have visited here before and found the staff very helpful and friendly. The food is very good, I had the duck and partner had the salmon. The venue is a bit pricey, I have found with their main dishes, you get the main with...one item, so with duck its potatoes but no veg so you have to order a side as with the salmon you get a vegetable but no potatoes so once again you have to order another side. This adds to the cost of the main meal so its really more expensive for a tradional main meal. The decor is nice with a conservatory at the front which is heated if you like that area for your meal. Parking is tricky as its in a residential area and so you have to hunt for a parking spaceMore
We’ve had a really nice meal here before but when I phoned at 8pm for a table for two at 8.30pm on a Thursday, I was told only if we could get there for 8.15pm, which we couldn’t do. I couldn’t persuade them to make...it 8.30pm because they said they wanted to close the kitchen early. This was very disappointing as they advertise being open until 11pm. They certainly didn’t seem keen for a last minute booking even if we could’ve made it for 8.15pm, it sounded as though it would be quite inconvenient. It was a shame as we had been looking forward to going and hadn’t thought that we would need to book in advance mid-week.More
Having read excellent reviews expectations were high. The attractive restaurant was reassuringly busy with a good atmosphere. After a friendly greeting we sat down, quickly ordering drinks which arrived promptly. Service after that was very slow and we reached the point of having to politely...attract somebody's attention to take our order. A passing waiter gave us a 'thumbs up' sign suggesting someone would be on their way. They weren't and we continued to wait almost to the point of giving up and leaving. Finally a waiter arrived. The garlic and mozzarella flatbread starter arrived promptly and was lovely. The quality of the main courses and side dishes was definitely mixed. The lasagne was great - lots of flavour and well enjoyed. The chicken escalope in lemon sauce was decidedly tough with both chicken and sauce lacking any discernible flavour. The accompanying mixed salad was excellent but the tender stem broccoli with chilli oil dressing was tired, lacklustre and again with little flavour. On clearing the plates the waiter asked if everything had been ok. We told him about the chicken. He apologised and was pleasant and professional saying he would report back to the kitchen. We decided to order a dessert, a crème brulee which was really good. As we settled our bill the waiter informed us the dessert would be complimentary and that gesture was appreciated. However, the meal had been for a special occasion so the really slow service and patchy quality of the food was definitely disappointing especially in the light of so many good reviews.More
Excellent food - Service very good we will be back to try the Lunch menu soon. The seating area at the front of the building is also very insulated which was nice.
Visited on Saturday 1st April at 7.30 pm to celebrate our wedding anniversary, table wasn’t ready when we arrived, it was very busy with staff going in all directions, service was slow but when the waiter did come he was very pleasant, we felt the...staff were rushed off their feet clearing tables etc etc and a few families with small children, not the atmosphere we expected for a romantic meal, the food was ok, the crab cakes were overcooked, so quite pricy for what we had, won’t be hurrying back and if we do probably a lunch time would be more appropriate.More
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff too. I had a lovely time with my family we all enjoyed our food but the cherry of the cake was the cocktails beautiful presentation and amazing taste.
