A friend & I were going to an evening cookery class at the Little Kitchen Cookery school. We wanted a light bite somewhere close by to keep us going until we ate the results of our cooking. A Cappella was a very lucky find. We...had a plate of their Tapas. really tasty, generous portions and excellent value for money. We live 40 miles south of Bristol and met several traffic problems on the drive up. we phoned the cafe to apologise & explain that we would be late. We were told " don't worry, its a Friday, it happens. Better that you get here safely." What a kind, lovely response. Wish we lived closer to Bristol, we’d become regulars there.More
Fantastic food and top notch service and great service also take your drink so no rip off drink prices this restaurant comes highly recommended
Sadly not as good as it used to be. The quality and quantity of of the toppings on all 5 of our pizzas were dissapointing. The pizza bases were either very soft and soggy with too much oil and an overpowering taste of garlic on...some or they were overdone. The lasgagne also wasn't great with very thick pasta. We've been coming here for years but the last two occasions have not been great. Service was slow but friendly on both occasions and seemed short staffed on both nights.More
Acapella was taken on by new owners last year, we've had takeaways and eaten in since then and the standard was almost as high as it always has been which was a relief. We ordered a takeaway this week and tgere is a definite change...in the quality of the ingredients. The peperoni, which was always thick and taaty has been replaced by a bland wafer thin version. The fresh mozzarella has been replaced with a very creamy but poorer quality cheese, rhat overpowered everything. Hopefully this is a one off poor show and not the influence of the new owners affecting the menu and quality of the ingredients. We won't be back anytime soon.More
My daughter had her graduation ceremony at Bristol Cathedral. We hadn’t been able to book a table anywhere in advance so called here as it was on our way home & we’d often said about visiting. Only a small place but we had a table...for 5. It’s a BYO which we hadn’t realised but we weren’t too fussed on having alcoholic drinks. Pizza’s & garlic bread were lovely. Staff all helpful & friendly. Will visit again, breakfast & lunch choices look good.More
Had the most amazing pizza on Sunday night . Will definitely be ordering from here again quick service and delicious food!
For a long time i thought this restaurant was just a Pizza place, until I visited in person. The specials board is filled with all kinds of pasta, salads, wraps, sandwiches and Tapas. The breakfast menu is also very good, my favourite is scrambled egg...or the Frittata is so delicious I highly recommend trying it. For children they have toasties, milkshakes and cakes, my daughter is a fussy eater but can always find something to suit. A family run business that is a real gem. My waitress Silvie was so polite and knowledgeable, and has made great recommendations more than once.More
This spot was highly recommended to us by our AirBnB host and it’s not hard to see why! A cosy and warm atmosphere, accommodating and friendly staff plus the food was lovely. We had ciabatta with hummus to start and two pizzas for our main...and it was all so tasty. We highly recommend!More
Very nice little cafe, really good menu choices. Good coffee. Nice staff. Certainly worth a visit for a quick bite.
Really different, yet sensible, pizzas - very good bases, not at all floppy. Service was exceptional, the waitress was very funny, calm and friendly, definitely a highlight! Prices good as it’s a BYO, not super cheap, but good value for good quality pizzas.
Just ordered 5 pizza. Came in time but pizza wasn't what I consider to be pizza. When I have called for a refund I was refused saying THE BOSS doesn't give refunds. We haven't had the pizza and wasted 63£. Don't call for explanations cause...THE BOSS is busy according to the lady that answered the phoneMore
This place has a welcoming and cosy atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Service is excellent, efficient, polite and helpful. The food was tasty and good value. I can’t tell you how good the pizza is. My partner is vegan and raved about his....I had a Cadenza (anchovies, olives, chillis etc) and was delicious. The thing about these pizzas is the base! So crispy, melt in your mouth, not dry at all and definitely no leaving pizza base in this restaurant. If you love good pizza and appreciate being able to bring your own booze (which we do) then give this place a go!More
Thank you so much for the great review. We hope to see you again soon
Delicious beautifully cooked pizzas, friendly service, and delightful cheesecake to finish off in this small, unassuming restaurant with its own unique character.
We visited A Cappella while staying in Bristol before a trip abroad. We phoned up and they fitted us in early to accommodate our family. The pizza was divine, just the right amount of topping. The kids portions were good value for money and big....The chef came out to brief us the spicier pepperoni this enabled him to change his topping. Great service, we will be back!More
Glad you enjoyed it. Lovely family. Thank you
