Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really enjoyed my evening at The Beehive on 22 February. I was with friends and was really impressed with everything there. The staff were Friendly, Helpful and Efficient without being intrusive. I'd eaten before I arrived but really wished I hadn't, as the Food...I saw being served there looked Excellent! Quiz Nights at The Beehive are solely for Charity. The Owners Organise and Run them, Donating great 1st 2nd and 3rd Prizes! I was there to support a Quiz in aid St Joseph's Home a wonderful registered Charity, Not for Profit Care Home. The Beehive did them proud! A most enjoyable time was had by all. Although on the opposite side of the city from my home, I would have no hesitation in visiting The Beehive again; next time on an empty stomach! The chips a friend gave me to try was Amazing! A huge Thank You to Dawn, Rufus, Paul and all their lovely staff!More

Staff was rude, must of all the owner was not expecting the fact the food was terrible! We was made to sit on a table which was wobbling, had garden chairs to sit on and was freezing where we was sat! The carrot almost took...my tooth out, chicken looked like it was about to run away. She tried to argue at the fact her food wasn’t cooked very poorly! I felt they was judging me on the way I looked, will not be going back ever again. Not only did we receive this terrible service, I was complaining to my friend and the owner decided to ear wig on my conversation whilst hiding behind her kitchen door and then confronted me on how I felt in my private conversation to my friend, this then set of my anxiety due to having bad mental health and being confronted when I never wanted to be.More

The food is great here, but we asked for a quiet table. The table was in a draughty area - the door to the garden banged loudly as staff went in and out. The inner area near the bar seemed quieter when we walked through...- we could have eaten there?More

Let me start off by saying that the staff at The Beehive are superb. Rufus the landlord is kind and funny (sorry I didn't get your joke!) and our server, Jack, was just stellar - I think my Mum wanted to bundle him up and...take him home! Lol. My beef burger was really tasty (please update your menu to say that it comes with chips as well though, i ended up with two portions because i didn't know!) and the cook was attentive to my allergies, which was really appreciated. Pizzas apparently aren't so good for their price and the sausages were rated as 'just okay', which is a shame - I personally really like the food in this establishment! My only criticism would be the volume of the band playing in the function room near our table, we spent much of the evening having to shout at one another because of it. Having some live music was great (and they were great) but not when it's so loud that it's impossible to talk. Also, there's a need for some lighting on the steps in the beer garden. I popped out to check it out with my mother and friend and all three of us found the steps really hard to navigate because they are very dark, in fact, my friend almost fell. It is a lovely garden though and I will definitely back to enjoy it again in the summer months :) All round lovely, just a bit too noisy on a Saturday night ;)More
