This is not the place to come for a quick meal but it is a nice breakfast. The toast with beans and scrambled eggs was very nice, the bread they use for toast is delicious. OH said his salmon with scrambled eggs was very good, We had to remind them about the drinks but they were clearly very busy without... More

Set in the village of Clifton, the Rainbow cafe is a quaint establishment. Family run, this cafe stands out on its own. Positioned not too far from the main road, in a quiet but busy part of Clifton. The hours of opening are Monday to Saturday 10:00 - 17:00 and Sunday 11:00 - 15:00. Surrounded by well to do folk... More

We enjoyed a nice breakfast at the Rainbow cafe on a recent saturday morning. OH had the full english breakfast and I had scrambled egg and baked beans on toast. They took a little while to arrive but I expect that when something is made fresh. The food was very nice and it wasn't too expensive either.

Yes it was busy (n very hot), yes there we're only two people working(why... it's Saturday!) at least tell us it's going to be ages... especially when we asked how long it... More

I go to the Rainbow pretty frequently, both during the day and to the brilliant music nights that are held there. I live in the middle of CV and could eat almost anywhere, but always go back to the Rainbow. The staff cant do enough for you, the salads are super fresh and locally sourced - they allow well behaved... More

Popped in here for a coffee and scone, and were pleasantly surprised by the warm friendly atmosphere. The staff were helpful and the service very good. Seemed to have a few regulars which helped to give it a good vibe. Coffee and scone were jolly good too.

We chose to eat at this cafe because it was in a pretty little street and had a certificate of excellence from trip advisor. We ordered one of the specials of the day, cottage pie. The price of this was not displayed. When it arrived it looked pale and unappetising. I can only describe the taste of it as watery... More

A refreshing change from the big chains. There was quite a large group of us in for coffee, and the lady in charge was friendly, efficient and solicitous. Prices were reasonable and there were toys for children and books etc for adults too.
