My son and I searched out this place on our beer tour of Bristol based on a strong recommendation from a CAMRA buddy. They serve a pretty good range of cask and keg ales, of which we sampled a few - but the real highlight...More

The pub dogs attacked my puppy when he was very little. The owner did not try to control them and did not apologise. My boyfriend and I had to drag her dogs off and rescue him as they were on top of him. Turns out...More

Not a place you would find unless you’re looking for it. The roast is good value for money and it’s a homely pub inside, only downside is it’s a bit small and food could be a tad warmer. But for the value can’t complain too...More

Great spot for drinks but couldn’t believe how bland the roast was after hearing so much about it from various people. Honestly terrible and really really slow when busy

Nice atmosphere, good outside space, great drinks but and it’s a BIG BUT....the food quality was absolutely shocking. I went with a bunch of mates 25-30 years old and 2 meals were left entirely while 4 of the remaining 5 were politely finished. Don’t go...More

Six of us from different parts of the country met up here for one of our annual get-togethers and, although I once lived in Bristol for several years, this venue was a new one for me too. We had expected it to be busier on...More

Thanks for the feedback. The toilets are cleaned regularly by both professionals and staff. It is indeed a shame that on your visit this was not adequately reflected. It is also a shame that you give only one star for all aspects of a venue,...More

The Volley is a very atmospheric pub with a superb Sunday roast! We had the Pork Belly, the Top Round & Ox Cheek, the Roasted Duck Leg and the Vegetarian Roast. Everything was superb - even the accompanying kale was eaten by a pronounced kale-hater!...More
