First visit to Ashville Steakhouse, was not disappointed. Tomahawk steak was excellent and good value, nearly as good as one from another famous Bristol steakhouse that is named after a cow field, at almost half the price. Ribs and all accompaniments were also excellent.
Service was good although it was hard to hear the waiter due to the place being quite noisy at first and he was wearing a mask. Some soft furnishings to damp down the noise a bit would help.
The only disappointing thing was the cheesecake, which wasn't really a dense, baked one like I was expecting, but was more like a mousse.
Overall though, excellent food, good value and would definitely visit again.

Tonight I had one of the best steaks I have ever had, I have had my first ever takeaway tomahawk and it was all thanks to dineathomebristol.
dineathomebristol is the delivery service from the Ashville Steakhouse whilst we are on lockdown. I just hope this is something that can continue afterwards.
If you haven’t been the Ashville you simply must go see them.
Everything about this was phenomenal, the taste, the temperature, the freshness and the ease.
We had 32oz tomahawk, a 10oz sirloin, triple cooked chips, salad and sauces.
All you need to do it go online
Choose from the menu and put the order in.
Let them do what they do best whilst you stay
safe at home.
This was better than a 10/10. Thank you for making my day, week and maybe year!

After plenty of recommendations we decided to try the Asheville,
As a family of 5 we normally struggle with the thought of a meal with the children.
Great layout, large tables for bigger parties.
Really nice atmosphere. So clean, fresh and inviting.
Staff were attentive & friendly
Now the food!
I had the 10oz fillet with mushroom sauce.
Cooked to perfection it really was perfect and a great size I struggled to finish it.
My husband had the 22oz t-bone again cooked perfectly.
We had onion rings as our side they were the best I’ve ever tasted!
The children had 3 different meals, the burger which they topped with cheese at my sons request, chicken goujons and the steak all large portions and tasty!
Deserts were also amazing, I can’t wait to go again wish we lived closer
It’s a big thumbs up from us!

As a massive lover of steak I was very excited to eat here, having had personal recommendations and looking at the reviews. First impressions, the staff were not welcoming at all considering we had booked and seemed reluctant to serve us. Eventually I ordered the 32oz tomahawk rare. The waiter told me this is best cooked medium as it's very thick but I stood my ground having been talked into over cooked steaks in the past. It arrived medium , classic. Was a good size and the sides were tasty but the meal was nowhere near the quality of other steak houses in town. If you've got money to burn and are after a massive average steak this is the place for you!!

Spent 170 quid on food and wine. Bought the chateaubriand for 56 pounds... Asked to substitute one of the chips with sweet potato fries, which are the same price on the menu, they refused. We had to pay extra to not have chips and have sweet potato fries.
The principle of this really put a downer on the whole evening and the response was because the ingredients cost more. We wouldn't have minded paying a surcharge. But had to pay the full amount and were told we had to have chips. Awful service which ruined the evening. Whereby the steak is pretty decent.

We got to the restaurant on a Sunday and decided to opt for steaks. The waitress had to double check if they where available and kept stating that we MUST pre order steaks on a Sunday. There was enough so away we ordered.
We where very confused by this as when he booked online there was no pre order option and the information on both the website and the menu states that you must pre order any steaks OVER 12oz.. tomahawks ect. As we where only ordering a 10oz fillet and a 12oz sirloin we where confused.
An hours worth or waiting later .. in which time a table of 2 arrived, ordered, had both their starters and mains. A table 4 arrived and their food came out, when we asked the male waiter if our food was coming as we had been waiting and hour we where very abruptly and rudely told “it’s going to take longer because you didn’t pre order” The food arrived, and was nice the steaks where very over rated considering this is a “steak house” had nothing on other Bristol establishments such as pasture.
As we paid the waiter continued to be short and blunt as if we had annoyed him for chasing up on our food after waiting for an hour. Would have liked to come back to try the roast but the little bald grumpy old fella ruined the whole experience.

The Ashville - Right I’m going to say it. This steak house is the best steak house I have visited in my life so far. I am 25 years old and a lover of steaks so you can imagine I have had a lot of steaks! Everything about this restaurant is perfect. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave every part of the evening was brilliant. The staff are lovely! All of the waitresses that served us were great, they couldn’t do enough for us. I was lucky enough to also meet the owner. By meeting the owner is was so clear as to why the restaurant does so well. His passion for great service and amazing food is very impressive. For starters we both had scallops. I have tried a lot of food restaurants that serve great scallops and these were certainly up there with the best. The attention to detail was certainly recognised. For our main I went for the 32oz tomahawk steak and my friend went for the 10OZ fillet steak. These were both cooked to perfection and the sides that arrived with it were lovely. You need to try at least one of their home made sauces, dare I say it these sauces are the best I’ve ever tried. Even better than my mums famous peppercorn sauce! (I hope she’s not reading this).
Massive thank you to all of the staff at the Ashville steak house. You made our meal special and we will certainly be back! Thank you!

This was our first meal out since we went out in February before lockdown hit.
Prior to this, the Ashville Steakhouse in Bristol was one of, if not the best Steakhouse in Bristol. It's fair pricing, quality and value for money was hard to beat. But after a shaky lockdown, a refurbishment and having its doors closed for so long, did this master steakhouse stack up?
I will cut to the chase, yes, yes it did. The quality is still there, the love and attention that goes into the food is still there but this time, a fresh new look inside.
The bar and restaurant have been completely re done but yet this still feels like the The Ashville; a homely place that welcomes it guests and serves them the very best food they can.
Today, we tried the Salmon, the Beef Burger, Ribs, a children's Chicken Nuggets and naturally, the steakhouses signature dish, the long bone 32oz tomahawk steak with triple cooked chips, a mushroom sauce and side salad.
If you love steak, you must check this place out, it is unreal. The steak this time was from a well known butcher, Ruby and White, however they have been know to use Easter Compton Farm Shop as well as New Manor Farm Shop based in the Chew Valley.
Sandor Marton - Head Chef and Owner, insists on passion and quality. If you put these two things together you have a winning recipe. The whole team there are a credit to each other and the business as they go out of their way to serve their customers.
This was day one for them re opening their doors, things can go wrong for people on day one, especially after being closed for so long, but I would happily give this a 5 star rating because as before, this is steak perfection.
You still got Sandor, thank you for having us!

Came here last minute with the wife for a night away from the kids. We booked on the day and the man on the phone was extremely informative and helpful. All covid measures in place making us feel very relaxed all was in hand. Our host Jade gave us a 5* service from start to finish. The food was AMAZING! I have eaten 5* steak all over the world and this is up there with the best. I honestly can’t recommend it enough. Every item of food we had on the evening even including the mushrooms & tomatoes were cooked with care and delicious. We will be back in a few weeks with friends for more. Thank you

When went there all the way from Plymouth to try out these steak only to be met with a unfriendly women who seemed to not want to talk to us or take a joke. We came for the triple cooked chips which we was then advised that they weren’t going to be sold on a Sunday which would of been fine if they had a notice on there menu saying they don’t get sold on Sunday’s otherwise we would of not come! We brought an 10 oz ribeye steak that was so chewy and very hard to eat. Ask for medium but came out done. £22 for just the steak alone which is expensive for a bit very nice steak! We also got the plant based burger and was literally a bun tiny bit of salad and the patty made with no love and didn’t even include any sauce or cheese so was very bland! Was a very poor experience especially as we drove 2.5 hours to try “the best steakhouse”. Would not recommend.

Visited with my boyfriend for a lunchtime. We both had the 22oz T-Bone steak (we had to book the t-bone in advance. Was one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever had. Incredible flavour, tender and perfectly cooked. Would happily return to try some other steaks on the menu!

Went today for a Sunday Lunch for our Wedding Anniversary after a recommendation from a friend.
Lovely restaurant, we found a parking space pretty easy but we went just as they opened, I could imagine it may be difficult especially at busier times as it’s all street parking.
Signed in for track & trace, advised on one way system etc - all good.
All staff were really friendly & helpful.
Restaurant very clean & modern.
We decided to have the 3 meat mixed roast which was £15.95.
It had Beef, Pork & Lamb. Have to say we were very disappointed with the Pork & Lamb as the Pork was so very dry, it was difficult to eat/chew & the Lamb was very weird it was what I could only describe as mushy, it wasn’t as you would expect Lamb to be.
However the Beef was delicious, in hindsight we both wished we’d of gone for just a Beef Roast but never mind.
We would definitely return for an evening Steak meal.
Overall was really good just let down by the Pork & Lamb unfortunately.

Amazing food from start to finish.
We had a starter each which was soup and the pork ribs - both were absolutely amazing and good portions. For mains of course we had a steak - both were accompanied with gorgeous sides all with their own great taste. My steak did come out a little underdone for me, but they quickly took it back and cooked it a little more which was great.
Our waiter was called Andrew I think? He was very attentive and a great asset to the restaurant.
It was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

Gorgeous meal with our steaks were cooked to perfection and a lovely team of staff, intimate setting without too many tables crammed in would highly recommend. In my opinion beats Steak of the art and Pasture hands down for an all round experience. Only tip I would give to the restaurant would be some candles on the table as lighting a little low to read menus, but doesn’t take away from an awesome night, thoroughly enjoyed!!

We’ve be coming to this restaurant for a number of years and have food to take away during lockdown. The food is always of excellent quality. The customer service is fantastic and there’s always a licentious welcoming atmosphere. Communication regarding take away orders has been great and the steak is still very hot when taken away. The steak is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The Biscoff cheesecake is incredible. Can’t wait to visit again in person.
