We came to your restaurant for someone’s birthday family Sunday dinner, we had ordered 3 leg of lambs and 2 trio of meat . This was our first time coming and how disappointed we were. The service was slow, the order wasn’t taken right as...pigs in blankets came out when we hadn’t ordered them, then the waitress came back with them again after telling her we had ordered extra roast potatoes and then for the leg of lamb the portion was appalling, had to send one of the plates back as it wasn’t even a portion and for the trio of meat the pork was dry. You definitely need to update your menu as a leg of lamb is classed as a lamb shank not pulled lamb which we got given, it was all bland and tasteless, gravy should be put on the side. I think you should just stick with being a steakhouse!! Had better roasts and service elsewhere.More

The steaks were amazing and well worth the price. Service was excellent and very friendly. We shared The Wardy Board, which was plenty of meat for two, but if you can manage on your own go for it.

Came for a birthday celebration following reading raving reviews online. The food was absolutely stunning, the best we have had for a very long time. Sadly our evening was spoiled when after our main course was cleared we were informed they needed our table in...10 minutes as the next guests had already arrived. Upon arrival we were seated 15 minutes late as our table wasn't ready. This wasn't an issue as we had a nice seat at the bar. We didn't have starters, we went straight in for mains. When we were offered the dessert menu we asked for 10 minutes to let our main course settle. It was then we were informed that there was only a 1 hour 15 minute time limit on our table before we would be expected to leave. From arrival, ordering, waiting for our food to be cooked and then leaving I don't think the time limit is acceptable to enjoy eating out. No where on the website does it say you have a time limit on your table. The website actually quotes "great environment to relax and unwind." Sadly we didn't feel relaxed, we left with very full bellies and feeling rushed out the door..More

We decided we wanted to visit for a Sunday roast before heading to the cinema; we called an hour before and we were lucky they had table for us! We received a friendly greeting by those on the bar and shown to our table. The...waitress returned promptly and took our order of two soft drinks and two Sunday roasts. Everyone was very friendly and our roast dinners were lovely. I chose the beef roast and it was delicious, but tried my boyfriend’s lamb which was amazing! So we will be booking to return soon, so that I can have a lamb roast next :) Our bill came to approx £38 which we thought was very good value for money. Overrated and pricey, wouldn't go again to expensive for what you get. Food was ok, wasn't the best steak I've had, staff was ok we lost our nearly full bottle of wine, which was very annoying at £32 a bottle.

Have been to the Ashville a few times now for a roast and steak and have had positive experiences previously. Went with my partner and our two friends as we have raved about it previously and wanted them to try. Initially when arriving I can...only assume the owner who had been behind the bar had already served our two friends who had arrived prior to ourselves and they had two alcoholic drinks. Myself and partner have never been ID’d before in the Ashville when ordering alcohol we are 27 and 29 so we were very surprised when we were asked for ID. I found his manner quite rude almost intimidating and not welcoming. I preordered the steak 2 days prior as we wanted a sharer and the number to call to do this isn’t a business landline it’s a standard 02 mobile number. I called the number and there had been an option to leave a voicemail but not to state it’s specifically for the Ashville. I chose not to leave a message but did a call a couple of times as it did go to voice mail on both of the occasions. I had a phone call back from the ‘ rude’ gentleman the only man I can assume is also the same man who had been on the bar who straight away in a rude manner when I answered said ‘ I had a missed call from this number’ no friendly manner at all. When the steaks had arrived our two friends had stated that they specially wanted one ‘ medium rare’ and one ‘ rare’ myself and my partner who shared a chateaubriand stated we wanted ‘ ‘medium rare’. Our two friends steak were cooked medium and our steak was more or less rare. Our friends didn’t wish to say there had been an issue with the cooking of their steaks but my partner wasn’t very satisfied and didn’t want to eat all the steak as found it distasteful and off and the way the rude owner had been made it quite uncomfortable itself to complain. We have since woken up this morning and have had a bad stomachs following on from eating the meal. This is a shame that the level of service and the quality of food we have had has slowly deteriorated as on previous occasions we have thoroughly enjoyed our meals.More

A group of 8 attended the Ashville having heard great things! We were greeted with a massive happy hello and quickly seated at our table. The drinks order was taken swiftly and then we had ample time to review the menu before the waiter took...our order. The food was outstanding from starter to dessert. Flawlessly cooked and a taste sensation I will definitely be making this my go to steakhouse from now on 😍 Thanks guysMore
