Very strange experience. Used to love coming here so popped in on a Friday night to see if they had a table. Luckily there were a few tables free. We didn't know whether to wait to be seated or just grab a table, so we...waited politely then after a few minutes asked at the counter if they had a table and they said just to sit anywhere that wasn't reserved. We sat down and waited a while but no one stopped at our table, so we eventually asked if we could grab menus from the side as we assumed they were busy. However, then some other tables arrived. These were all greeted straight away at the door and given menus straight away. We wondered if we had done something wrong and continued to wait whilst other tables were seen, but no one came. Our friend then decided it wasn't worth it (we had recommended the restaurant) and we gave up shortly afterwards. No one spoke to us at all the whole time, except for when we asked if we could have a table and if it was ok to grab a menu.More

As a former employee of Napolita, I have to say the FOH staff gets treated really badly, often with utter disrespect. I've been working in hospitality for years and this was the worst I'd ever been treated at work. If you think of applying there...for a FOH position, please think twice before you do.More

Enjoyed an evening meal with a friend, both had a pizza which was delicious. Well cooked and full of flavour. Service was good, staff polite and friendly. Great place for smaller groups

We decided to go to this restaurant for a birthday/celebration in our family. We arrived for our reservation at 8.30pm and it was busy which was normal for a Friday evening in Bristol. Once seated within 15 minutes our order was taken - drinks, starters...and mains. Perfect. It had been around about an hour since our order was taken and in this time our drinks had not even arrived - we asked the waitress about how long our food and drinks will be which was confirmed basically our ticket had been lost or misplaced so our order actually had not been put through. After another half an hour we asked again and finally we were given our food and drinks - but in this time frame STILL some of our had not arrived. The food was nice nothing special but enjoyable for majority of us. We ended up leaving around 10.30pm - after having to speak with multiple staff regarding our bill as a couple of the waitresses had mentioned either a discount or items taken off the bill. What we were offered was no resolution or reasonable for the amount our time was wasted here and how our order was messed around and how we were told our drinks would be “ on the house “. Once we had confronted a couple of the staff members we were given a rather rude response from one of the waitresses which isn’t exactly professional when all of this was out of our control as the customer. We were made to feel bad and like this was our issue. The waitresses seem scared of the boss of this establishment which isn’t exactly a great look and if I was them I’d quit. If this has been resolved first hand this review would have been very different. In future ( and from reading these reviews) the manager needs to take a look at how this establishment is run and consider their staff members who are under a lot of pressure when it is busy and ensure there is enough staff to cover such busy times as it’s only going to cause more problems. Which it did tonight. This is a managerial issue. The manager is lucky to have the waitresses they do and should obviously look after them a bit better.More

On the surface looks like a great little restaurant located near to Bristol city centre. Great menu and friendly staff but not geared up for large parties. Turned up with a pre booked reservation for around 20 people to find that they could not seat...us together. They managed to seat most of us in the restaurant but then had to seat the rest of us ( about 8) on the outside (albeit covered) seating away from our group. For me already defeated the intention of us all going out for a family birthday meal. Tried to order drinks but after an hour of waiting gave up before even ordering meals! Eventually the food order was taken but still no drinks?. Personally was enough for me and I went on home! I am sure that with smaller bookings this restaurant would offer better service, but for me, I would prefer that eateries would not bit off more than they can chew! All in all spoilt my family reunion.More

Took my girls and my partner to this place as I had been brought by a friend before and thought it tasted amazing. We sat down and ordered our food and drinks. After 45 minutes of waiting patiently and not nagging as the place was...busy, the waitress came over to tell us that she’s sorry but our drinks are just being made and the order hasn’t been given to the kitchen and we would have to wait another 25 minutes for our food. In addition our drinks could be on the house and that was that. Very disappointing experience as my family had never been before. Napolita never fails tbh! I must’ve had 20 + amazing meals here - a comfortable, intimate yet vibey/homely place with spot-on, delicious food. I’m not usually a ‘3-course person’, but I have to when I go to Napolita. Accidentally stumbled upon this place 5 years...ago for a morning coffee, which was amazing - I’ve been regularly frequenting ever since. Chefs and front of house have been great every time. Dunno if you can tell but I would recommend!More

An absolute gem. My son spent a brief spell working in the kitchen a while back, and told me how much care is given to sourcing ingredients, attention to detail, and an almost obsessive dedication to customer satisfaction. Ignore at your peril! The lamb ravioli...is extraordinary. I’m a regular at a Cafe on the River in West London, and this wins hands down. The crew are absolutely lovely. Absolutely appalling service- twice we have ordered and waited 2 hours only to be told our order has never even been received in the kitchen. We only kept trying because the gluten free pizzas here are actually excellent and we would rather support a local...business than a chain. Communication is non existent, it’s only after calling several times ourselves we found out any information. Being a coeliac, my pizza options are limited hence our patience with this company.More

This is a shame really sunday breakfast means comfort relaxing but should be chaos. I am sure they may have good pizza & pasta but then do not open for breakfast if you can not manage to deliver! We arrived then waited for menus for...10 minutes then waited to order for 20 minutes then waited to receive coffees half an hour then waited another half an hour for only 2 veggie breakfast! 2 waiters and 1 chef is not enough clearly for 10-15 tables. There were 2 more chefs in the kitchen getting ready for lunch while we were waiting 1 hour 15 minutes for a plate with deep fried hash browns 1 poached egg and avocado. When we pay noone bothered to say sorry we payed £28 for this disasterous experience. Thanks!More
