This used to be a local favourite, and still is when I can be bothered to wander down Jacobs wells road. Lovely little pub and from what I can tell has recently been taken over again. Always a friendly atmosphere and great Gin selection, also always good for a spot for lunch. Close to the harbour (good for walking off... More

Visited today with two friends using a wriggle deal. We all had beef burgers. The meat was like dog food and served in a buttered bun with some lettuce, undercooked chips and something they called coleslaw but it definitely wasn't. It was disgusting and inedible. We couldn't believe it was possible to get a burger that wrong. Drinks-wise they had... More

Packet Quorn fillets, soggy roast potatoes, cabbage and broccoli had been cooked for hours. Tasteless waste of money. The beer's good and the staff are friendly but food like this shouldn't be served up.

It's changed hands! we been a couple of time in the past for Sunday lunch. One of our friends really wanted to go back we were all impressed before with the roasts. But now the veg is minimal and tasted strange not great stuffing was tiny around a 1cm square the food has gone down hill and left us all... More

I had a voucher on Wriggle, so me and two friends went for an evening roast dinner. I'm guessing it was what was left over from the Sunday lunch but it really didn't matter as we paid very little with the voucher. It meant we got three meats, all the vegetables and other trimmings in one huge yorkshire pudding (which... More

The 6th pub on our list for tonight and not a disappointment. Excellent selection of beer. I had a pint of Mumbles, very good but by now I'm past caring who e brewer is. cheesy chips to soak up some of the alcohol. brilliant 😄

Although this isn't my local I wish it was. The staff are friendly, the beer choice and taste is excellent and the food is quality too. In addition it has even when busy a laid back, relaxed and welcoming ambience. There is a beer garden out the back that creates a haven from the bustling world outside where you can... More

Last minute booking for Sunday lunch. Glad we got in. Food pretty good although veggies a little undercooked and cauliflower cheese a bit watery. In general though, no complaints from our party of 5. Choice of beer was really good as were the house wines. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would definitely return.

Booked in advance and pre ordered beef roast and the vegetarian option. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The roast had come recommended so was looking forward to it as looking for somewhere for a work do ( we have a few vegans and vegetarians ) however I was really disappointed. The vegetarian roast consisted of cabbage, carrots, leeks and a... More

Traditional pub, bridging the gap between Hotwells and Clifton. Nothing fancy, but a good place to grab a burger and a pint.
