Lovely restaurant and nice change to the eastern Indian or Balti. Staff attentive and friendly. Food very tasty, heat of spice can be moderated on request. The signature starter platter to share is spot on. Depth of flavour to the curries and fresh simplicity to the rice and breads. Will visit again.

We had an excellent evening and enjoyed the food. The food was very much spicy as expected with eastern flavours. My only negativity is the style of serving for my dish I would have preferred if the rice was served in its own dish and the salmon curry separate to allow the indulgence of naan bread which we old have... Heard great things about this restaurant. Really disappointed, my lamb was overcooked, the pompadoms were not very crispy and the chutneys very bland. Nan bread wasn't the best. Service was ok. Overpriced for what it was. Wouldn't return.

We used to have take-out from the Kathmandu when it was in Easton and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Now fast forward some 20 years and we have finally got to the restaurant. I recognised a few faces, like ourselves just a little older. The food was of course extremely good. Portion size was just right. Service was excellent. We will... More

We were a group of seven - mainly in our sixties celebrating a birthday. We chose the restaurant having eaten many times there over the past fifteen plus years. The family that owns the restaurant are delightful and attentive and the food first rate as always. The Kathmandu consistently has been one of the best if not the best Asian... More

The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Kingfisher on tap. The food was slightly better than average. I added 1 star for service because the staff was very nice. I found the price on the Samosas on the high side. It was good but I expected 2 or 3 for the price, not just one large one.... More

this is the place for you, although you can chose how hot/spicy you prefer. Interesting and different from other curry houses so well worth a visit. Good staff who are very friendly and helpful. Seating is plentiful and good, as is lighting with no over powering music background - so you can have a lovely evening without yelling to the... More

We came to this restaurant as my husband had been with a group from work. We usually go to a Nepalese in Bath and enjoy the food very much there. We weren't disappointed, the standard of service was excellent, Ben greeted us and was exceptionally professional... 5star treatment. For a starter we had a Nepalese sharing platter, a great way... We started with a cocktail which was very agreeable and shared a Nepalese Platter as a starter which was exceptional. We had Chicken Kukura curry and chicken kirtipur which were both interesting and vey tasty. Apparently caught them in a lull between shows so was quite quiet. Service was friendly and efficient. We were visiting Bristol just after Xmas and... More
