Very generous portions. The vegan banana blossom 'fish' is great! My go-to when I want 'fish' and chips.

2 portions of fish & chips with some sauces should have been £20.50 (already pretty expensive) but card was charged £25.50. I luckily looked at the receipt & did the maths. The cashier went straight into defensive (a clear sign that somebody's telling porkies), saying...that I'd counted wrong: 'it's the sauces' - for £5?! & when I showed him the receipt then said he has 'big fingers' & had accidentally pressed 5 instead of 0. I find that hard to believe, since 5 is two keys away from 0 on card machines. Also, it wasn't even busy so not like they were under pressure where a mistake like that could happen. They have some renovations going on at the moment, and it being end of summer, it wouldn't be a stretch to think they're dealing with some financial challenges, although that's pure speculation on my part. The cashier eventually gave me a £5 from the till, but it marred the whole experience, and I won't be going back there or recommending to anyone. Fish & chips were okay but nothing special; would recommend going somewhere cheaper.More

Lovely service, crispy batter, fresh milky cod, a slice of lemon, and the best chips I've had at a chippy. My daughter loved the Vegan fish with Seaweed and Samphire. 10/10

Not normally a fan of vegetarian/vegan fish - but this was the closest thing to fish and chips I have tasted since going vegan.

We pre-ordered a collection for 15 people. The food was ready for when we agreed, and everything was accounted for and labelled accordingly. Staff were really friendly and very attentive and most importantly the food was fresh and tasted delicious! Everyone was very happy!

Really grateful for the team at Catch22 for being superstars in pulling together a large order for a 17 person team event. Communications beforehand were brilliant, including a text message to confirm a couple of hours before. Fancied a big helping of chips and had seen good reviews about Catch 22. We ordered the large and this is easily a meal for two. The cod was well cooked, with a good crispy crust while being flaky and tender. A large piece is...probably 25 cm long and as mentioned, easily fit for two. The chips are a highlight, crispy and full of flavor. The cops could do either bring salt a bit to keep them even nicer.More

I had eagerly waited outside on the pavement for over twenty minutes. On all their web sites it states open at twelve noon. But here came the catch the manager said he would not open for a further 30 minutes due to staff shortages. I...asked if I could have a seat inside his restaurant but was turned down flat. I leave the reader to decide on the line taken. Perhaps he should have used a different more pragmatic bait.More

Lovely, friendly staff and the best vegan fish and chips I have ever tasted. They marinade the banana blossom in seaweed, samphire and lemon juice and just makes it taste amazing! I am obsessed with coming here every time we are in Bristol - would...definitely recommend.More

Just order a takeaway and this what came, my fish was fried a couple times, nothing was fresh, chips was a little bit and dry and greasy at the same time, I wouldn’t NOT recommend! Waste of money

Came down with food poisoning last night after eating the vegan "fish" from here, I'm laid up in bed feeling awful now. Never again.
