A cosy pub in the beautiful village of Weedon. Stopped off for lunch on Friday, wonderful warm greeting on arrival and followed by some excellent food.

We met up with family for last minute evening meal. The food was delicious although portion sizes so big, we couldn't squeeze in a pud - although would have been tempted by the treacle tart. Hosts very welcoming and service good, although they were busy. We booked for Sunday lunch with more family in a couple of weeks time. Looking... More

As good a pub meal as I've ever had. Three 3-course meals, and every course was excellent. Very highly recommended....

I have been coming to the pub for many years and the food has always been outstanding! generous portion sizes, good variety and the most friendly atmosphere. Tucked away, it is a idyllic for a romantic dinner, or just a weekday supper. Well done Carol and John!

This is what a great gourmet pub should be. Beer is very fine, welcome and service friendly AND efficient and the food is amazing. Not sure what else you could want?

We went to this lovely thatched pub for our wedding anniversary, and having mentioned the fact to the landlady when making the booking, to our surprise there was a card for us on our reserved table. Nice touch! There were about 10 locals drinking the excellent real ales served there when we arrived, but we were disappointed to be the... More

If you've dreamt of turning off the busy road and finding yourself travelling up a village lane to the crossroads and finding the epitome of an English pub, ordering a pint of real ale or a glass of wine and sitting by the fire; if at that point you imagine the landlady asking you if you would you like to...
