We are regulars here, it never disappoints. We have worked our way through the menu over the years and the food seems to improve all the time. I ordered a take away last night from here. Have been using this restaurant for years. However was so disappointed and not up to its usual standards. The buttered chicken was dry and crusty and the sauce appeared curdled with a layer of orange fat...floating in top. The onion bhaji were stale and tasted reheated. I had family over and had to get pizza out instead. They appear th have gone down hill and our meal for 4 looked like reheats and left overs. We recently moved to Aylesbury and this was the first Indian restaurant we tried and if the taste and quality of food stays the same as our last 2 visits then it will be the last one we try. The food is described as Indian/Pakistani cuisine. I found it to be quite bland and honestly, I should have just cooked myself. It’s pricey and is not true to how described in the menu . Chicken biryani had really hard chicken and 0 flavour to...it. It was over cooked. The rice in the biryani was also bland. The “shame” kebab aka shami kebab was bland with no flavour. Lastly, the bhuna gosht cooked in “spices” was actually quite sweet tasting. If you are new to area and are looking for authentic Indian or Pakistani cuisine, do not order from here, keep your money. If you are looking to order just to get a taste of a basic meal (that you can make using curry sauce from Morrisons) and want to pay a high price for it, then this is the place for you.More
Haven’t eaten here for years. Decided on Friday night takeaway and so glad we did. This is so so tasty. Fresh. Flavoursome. Colourful. Ordering and delivery was speedy and easy. Can’t wait to try more on the menu
We like this place. A good choice of dishes all well prepared and service is excellent. We try something different every time we go and it is always very good. Regular customer (my boyfriend and I) decided to treat whole family to an Indian takeaway. For about £70 we got a pickup takeaway for 6 adults and 3 small children. As usual the food was absolutely delicious and was loved by everyone. Highlights: peshwari naaan,...chicken chaat, chicken balti. Top notch food!More
Found this restaurant to be friendly , lovely food . Restaurant was fairly busy also for take away It was extremely busy the phone didn’t stop ringing.
Customer service was so terrible, waiters are incredibly rude and snarky. You’re rushed along the whole time and it’s just a horrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to any groups of friends especially group of women!! AVOID AVOID AVOID
Called in today, tempted partly by the Eat Out To Help Out initiative - very useful in an economic Depression! My starter was onion bhaji. These were to die for: wonderfully golden crispy exteriors full of tender onion. For main course, I opted for special...fried rice with lamb vindaloo and a cheese naan bread. The naan bread was literally oozing with cheese! The fried rice was the best I’ve tasted with a great texture, while the curry was flavoursome with very tasty and tender meat. I’ll be back!More
Ordered a collection last night as had some friends round in the garden (socially distanced of course). Once again was great food. I've eaten in the restaurant many times but this was the first time getting a take away and they didn't disappoint. There were...5 of us so quite a big order and everything was perfect. Ordered a takeaway tonight for the first time from shensha, checked there ratings on trip advisor and everything seemed excellent and therefore thought it was safe to go ahead. It took 23 minutes To arrive From call to bell and we thought this was VERY...fast. However, when we peeled the lids of the tubs, what was served could only be described as 3-day old food reheated (check out the picture of the ‘fresh‘ chicken jalfrezi). It seems as if it was found at the bottom of the freezer and reheated after receiving the order. Utterly Disgusted. Called the restaurant to express my concerns and was told that they boil their chicken three days in advance to which they add the relevant curry dishes. We were offered a replacement dish To be delivered within 10 minutes, but given the time it takes to cook fresh ingredients this is clearly not possible. No refund was ever offered. I recommend everyone to avoid. This cost £40 for food I cannot eat.More
Ordered a takeaway this evening and I can honestly say it was the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. Ordered 4 different curry’s all tasted of nothing & full of grease! Out of the 4 you could not tell the difference between 3 of...them. Lamb tikka masala, lamb pasanda and butter chicken. Called the restaurant and was told I would get discount of my next order. Not much use when 3 out of the 4 dishes wasn’t edible and went in the bin! Would absolutely not use this place again. (Note to restaurant would be an idea not to have your kitchen staff sat out the back on the floor smoking in chef whites). DisgustingMore
