As a lone woman ordering a takeaway I was made to feel as if I was being awkward when I was overcharged and asked for a refund. Not very nice people, won't be going there again

Decided on an impromptu takeaway whilst visiting family. Tried the Empire of India for the first time. Prices were slightly above average, but delivery was prompt and still quite hot. The food was very tasty but the sauces were quite thin compared to what I have had elsewhere. The Chicken Tikka and Korma were tasty and a good portion size.... More
Ordered over the phone for quick and easy dinner. Delivery took around 45mins to arrive on a Sunday night. Unfortunately was missing rice with the order, cheese naan was nothing special just normal naan with slice of cheese on top. Food was good (not the worst I've had, but not close to the best either) but unfortunately my friend felt... More
Ordered through just eat. Absolute shambles. Would never use again. Waited until time the food should be delivered to inform us there was a problem. Then had to wait an extra 45 minutes with no compensation.
I have had 2 takeaways from this place now and it's my favourite Indian in this area. The tikka masala dishes are so tasty, they come with a lot of meat and sauce which means I can use my Naan to soak up any left over sauce. The service has been lovely both over the phone and when they deliver,... More
I have eaten this take away food for at least 10 years, they used to have a few tables back then, it is excellent, maybe not quite as good as the Last Viceroy in Bourne End, but comparable in quality and streets ahead in price, just compare prices with Last Viceroy take away in Flackwell. Keep an eye on accuracy... More
First takeaway from empire of india , delivered within the standard 45 mins, good portions and still hot on delivery. So Far so Good, sadly the meat being soaked in salt overpowered the flavors, such a shame.
our go-to indian. Great flavours without nasty artificial colours. Lovely owner who really cares about his customers. Good value and generous portions.
