About
Limoncello is Cambridge's premiere Italian Delicatessan & Restaurant, it opened in Mill Road on August 28th, 1997 in premises only half its present size. The shop moved to its current location at 212 Mill Road in October 2001. Luke carefully selects every product that the shop stocks himself, and makes frequent visits to Italy to find new delights to add to the range on offer to Limoncello's customers.Some 98% of the shop's stock is imported from Italy, including the four varieties of fresh pesto, olives, cheeses, meats and antipasti. Luke works with a myriad of suppliers in Italy and the U.K. to ensure the best quality products are available. Our Garden is the most recent addition to to us and is becomeing ever more popular as the years go by. Limoncello's has a wide range of dilights from fresh pastas to pizza & our well-known and much-loved sandwiches. Each sandwich is hand-made to order and can include just about any combination of the fresh deli items in the store!

Hi everyone. I am Novice here but couple of weeks ago I visited this great place and I wanted to say a few words about it. The Limoncello is situated in the heart of Mill Road - the vibrant streets which everybody knows so its easy to find it ! As you enter the place you are welcomed by homey atmosphere which makes you feel relaxed. The menu offers Italian, fresh made dishes which are delicious and well presented!! Great service - smiling and helpful waitress/waiter perfectly know what Italian food is about. they will give you a recommendation in case of having a problem with choice. The restaurant also have a great range of retail. You can buy wine or pasta - or bottle of limoncello :) Perfect place for meeting with friends. I highly recommend to visit.

I haven't given many reviews in the last 18 months for obvious reasons.
But I also feel that Cambridge has very little to offer, in terms of good eateries, so there hasn't been much to say until just this week.
Limoncello used to be a nice little Deli selling Italian produce. Way over priced, but decent selection of stuff.
They gradually added a cafe set-up and then opened their garden with a more full food menu.
WOW!
Huge improvement. The deli is much smaller, but still there. The focus is clearly now on table service, indoors and out. GREAT DECISION!
They have a simple, no frills menu. Reasonably priced with good selection of panini's, some mains and desserts.
Lovely service. Good tasting food. Casual atmosphere and beautiful garden seating.
I feel it's the best option for spontaneous people in the neighbourhood to pop in and chill out with a nice glass of wine and a comforting meal.
Unlike many other Cambridge cafes/restaurants, Limoncello doesn't serve poor quality food at high prices.
They have struck the balance just right!

Limoncello is the best Italian restaurant I've been to outside of Italy!
Everyday, they make their own fresh pasta, which are accompanied with the best pestos (rocket, tomato, spicy etc...). As a frequent customer, the pasta menu changes regularly too, so we often discover new recipes from the chef. The pizza are great as well.
Importantly too what makes their cooking so delicious of the quality of their products may it be cheese, truffles, meat, coffee etc.. every product is truly good.
The atmosphere is great too very lively and warm. I have always been welcomed with outmost kindness and sometimes leaving with a generously offered small shot of their delicious Limoncello!
All in all, it's just a very genuine place, with great products and great people, what every restaurant should be like in my opinion.

Visiting on reviews, we was very excited to try Limoncello but found the whole experience dissatisfying. Vastly overpriced, small portion sizes and underwhelming flavours. Perhaps a off day, but more care and attention needed on pricing, sizes and service.

We were in Cambridge for a few days, looked online for somewhere to eat early evening and liked the look of the menu my partner likes fish so was attracted to the prawn risotto. When we arrived we were told the menu had been changed but not updated on website and there was no fish on the menu, so ordered a vegetarian pasta. On a visit to the bathroom walked pass a large glass fronted freezer with huge bags of bought in filled pasta from London?!?
Very expensive for pasta not even made on the premises but from bulk catering bags - so disappointed when it was first restaurant experience for 14months.

Wow. We had an unreal experience at Limoncello this evening. The food was exceptional, it felt home cooked and it was delicious . We felt so welcomed by our waiter Alex, he was so friendly and made us feel like we had walked into someone’s home. I would highly recommend if you are in Cambridge. A very special place. Thank you!

Lovely place with real Italian food and quality. Super friendly and hardworking (Italian) staff.
I live nearby and usually come to Limoncello once per week, either for a pizza or some shopping. Their take away service was very handy, especially during this lockdown time. They recently added gelato to their menu which is, as usual, amazing!
You guys basically saved my life :))Thank you!

An amazing slice of Italy in Cambridge. Want a coffee and cannoli, go here, you won't be disappointed. Craving an authentic pizza, this is the place to have one (with or without a glass of prosecco) and if you want your mind blown by the pasta dishes....you're getting the idea now. We pop in here regularly, sometimes for a cheeky ciabatta, other times for dinner and we are never disappointed. Had gnocchi here last week and I can only describe it as little pillows of deliciousness.
Seems rude to mention them second but the staff are brilliant. Always a smile and a "ciao" to go with the excellent service. I love this place.

I'm always in Limoncello for the laid back atmosphere, awesome coffeee and the wide variety of italian produce. The staff are so friendly (especially Luke who saved me a pannetonne) and they give great recommendations. Deffo reccomend :)
They've also been very dilligent during the pandemic and I always feel secure which mot all other eateries have done.

The restaurant is nice and cozy with a typical Italian atmosphere. Micheal was a wonderful host, he attended us perfectly and he suggested the best food being very attentive to our intolerance.
Food is genuinely cooked and we were able to find an impressive selection of Italian delicatessen. Thank you Micheal we will come back!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night for our two year anniversary. The staff, especially Luke and Emelia are so friendly and personable and gave us great recommendations on an already wonderful menu. We ordered the antipasti appetizer the pumpkin gnocchi, and a pepperoni pizza, and all were wonderful! The tiramisu is also a great dessert addition and would highly recommend if there is any left. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite unique as it is a grocery and deli during the day.
If you are visiting Cambridge this authentic Italian is well worth a visit and should not be missed!!

A great experience as usual. However, the bill was a total shock, as it now includes an unexpected, unadvertised compulsory high service charge coupled with increased prices. The portion sizes seem to have shrunk.
Disappointingly, It will be difficult to justify dining here in the future

If you want authentic Italian food, cooked the Italian way, then go to Limoncello. You won’t get the equivalent of tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce but you will get fresh pasta, excellent olive oil and wonderful truffles direct from Italy. The food is cooked to order and the service is delightful and there are lots of very happy regular and occasion customers!

First time visiting Limoncello and i can't believe we haven't been before. The food was amazing! We had an antipasti board and burrata to start, truffle tagliatelle and lobster ravioli for main and then the peach and chocolate torta. My other half also saw some cannoli in the deli which the waitress was only too happy to get some for us! The service was really attentive and atmosphere was fun! The deli is also an emporium of lovely Italian treats and you also receive 10% off when you dine in on any deli purchases! A wonderful Friday evening with good food, wine and people. Definitely recommend!

Ordered a ‘create your own’ hamper via the website for my mother’s birthday. She had planned to be in Rome but unfortunately due to the Coronavirus this was unable to happen. Due to living too far away to deliver a present or be able to see her due to lockdown measures I decided to order a small selection of Italian products to cheer her up. The hamper turned up well wrapped and presented and made my mother very happy. I was even contacted beforehand to check the exact date I wanted it delivered for, in which it arrived on the date as promised. Thank you again for your excellent customer service and high quality delivery!
