Note visited this pub for years but most welcoming and good food. Modern toilets. I got a taxi but I note a car park and direct parking outside at 50p/hour on a meter. I had a super Caesar salad, friends had a tasty steak pie. Will visit again!

Came here with a friend tonight on the spur of moment, this is about the 6th time I'd been here. It was really busy and buzzing, found a table that had just been vacated, and the waitress came and cleared it very quickly. We ordered a tasty mountain of nachos, but best of all were the plaice goujons. You could tell... More

I have been here many times for evening drinks so it was a logical choice for Sunday lunch. Wish we hadn't. It was very, very busy and the staff were clearly run off their feet. We ordered a hot tea and the manager said he would bring it over. Waited 15 minutes and decided to check. The manager was in... More

Pub food can be awful or fine but our dinner with friends at The Old Spring was fine indeed. Genuine atmosphere, good service, good beer and great fish pie. Oh to be in England! The charcuterie plate we shared was also excellent. Sticky toffee pudding, pretty good too, though we're still seeking perfection. Strongly recommended.

I came here after a friend's recommendation and I'll be sure to come back!!! The gourmet steak burger (bit more pricey than the other burger options) is definitely the best burger I have had in Cambridge and I have also shared a lovely salad with gorgonzola and candied walnuts! The bar tender was very helpful and extremely knowledgable with regards... More

Quickly served by very polite staff; very nice food which was well presented. Food prices were average (circa £10-£16) although drinks a little expensive (pint of guest ale £4.40) Would recommend a visit. In regard to a bad review that I read all I can say is I'm glad they weren't there with their screaming kids the night I was... More

I have been here several times with my partner over the past five years as we live nearby have always really enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere. My partner has posted a couple of 5 star reviews on here in that time based on both our experiences, so it's a shame to be leaving The Old Sping just the three... More

On recommendation by the proprietor of The Worth House a great B&B just down the road where I'm staying, I stopped in. Cosy yet roomy, as it is sectioned, you will find a table but still feel tucked in quite nicely. The staff were lovely, and took the time to discuss the different offerings they had on tap and come... More

Very good quality pub on Ferry Path in Cambridge. Good selection of beers but, to my mind at least and almost as important as the beers, a very imaginative lunchtime menu of pub grub. Good size with plenty of quality seating both inside and outside and, to top it all off, an extremely pleasant and efficient team.

Not kid friendly, staff are rude, loos are filthy! Staff tried to dictate how we should care for our children complained that we'd brought a pushchair in and then asked us to leave when our 7 month old and 1 year old were not acting like grown ups!

Firstly, our toilets are not dirty as they are professionally cleaned daily. Secondly, Your 1yr old son looks and acts more like a 3 year old. He spent circa 30 minutes screaming while being largely unsupervised by yourselves. You son again unsupervised was playing with one of our external doors - I asked if you could stop him doing this...
