We visited Cambridge last week and met up with an old school friend for lunch (two vegetarians and one vegan). I spent a little while looking online to find somewhere suitable, which isn’t always easy. I am very happy that we found this place. The...menu isn’t extensive, but I still found it a struggle to choose. I’m not keen on fake meat products, which tend to dominate some other vegetarian/vegan cafes (even at my usual local, I usually end up with one of the same two things). Here, I’d have been happy to try just about everything. My friend and I both went for the Mediterranean panini. (The menu wasn’t entirely clear here. This was listed under the heading ‘panini and wraps’ so I assumed it was a choice, but was told it was only a panini.) I had a side of fries too. (They were happy to do this, though it’s not actually listed on the menu – which only has loaded fries, not plain ones.) My partner had wanted to try the dhal, but it was unavailable on the day of our visit (this was made clear on the menu), so she went for the oriental burger. I’m afraid I don’t have pictures or much else to say about the food, other than that all three of us enjoyed it very much. I do wish the portions had been a little larger perhaps, though I think they’re fair value for the price. Perhaps I should have ordered more! We decided to pass on dessert, on the assumption that we might have coffee and cake somewhere later. In fact, after wondering round the colleges and market for a bit, my partner and I actually ended up coming back here, where I had some falafels and she had affogato (something she can’t usually get as a vegan). It will probably be some time before we visit Cambridge again, but we’d definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, assuming you’re happy to eat something plant-based.More

Popped in for a smoothie and a bowl of something healthy. The Budda Bowl was excellent as was the smoothie. Would highly recommend giving it a try.

Urban Butterfly was the best place for a healthy, wholesome and absolutely yummy breakfast. They had the kindest owner who was a great companion for the meal. Absolutely loved their unique falafels and salads.

We were attracted to this excellent café by all the 5 Star reviews & we were not disappointed. Both of our meals were very tasty with lovely fresh ingredients & all served with a smile & you can take the food outside for a picnic...in the park, which is at the back of the building.More

Really cool vegan place. Nice ambience. Loaded fries were excellent and so was the vegan ice cream!! It’s based on regent street which is a nice location.

The food and service was amazing! To have a good vegan selection was a real treat. We had the chips with special topping which I can highly recommend and we will be going back for. We found Urban Butterly by chance on a recent visit to Cambridge. We will definitely return! We had an excellent tasty light lunch of delicious sweet potato falafel and samosas in a friendly welcoming and gentle atmosphere. The staff are lovely!

Lovely cafe and very child friendly. The owner made my nine year old feel very welcome. We would recommend the carrot cake.

Great little cafe near the centre of town. Stumbled across it. Great food, very fresh. Nothing else serving delicious Buddha bowls, fresh soup and the loaded fries were delicious. Went for lunch here with colleagues. Delicious food and really lovely service. I had samosas which were tasty and crispy. The chips had the most amazing seasoning. I look forward to going back on our next visit to Cambridge. Seems family run which is lovely...to support. The lady who came over to ask how our food was was so sweet.More
