Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting Cambridge on a very busy Easter Saturday. Lovely to find this place, down a passage off the main road. Just a coffee and a piece of cake but very welcome and very tasty indeed. A charming little place that offered a welcome sanctuary from...a very busy city.More

We found this little gem whilst visiting Cambridge on Friday (14th Sept). There were only a few tables outside that were full but the kind lady who served us put another table & 2 chairs outside for us as it was too warm to sit...inside. We both had a panini, my husband ham & cheese and mine Salmon and mozzarella, they were freshly cooked and very nice with plenty of filing. We stayed for a second cup of tea each. Although the lady was on her own she was very polite and served our food very quickly. Will definitely visit again when we’re next in CambridgeMore

As an amateur barista I must say: best coffee in Asia! And excellent pastries. And good food too. Service also excellent!

We tried to get into Indigo about 12.45 but it was packed so we walked around Cambridge and returned at 13.30 and found a table. Having been here before we know we can get nice food (including vegan sandwiches) good tea and coffee and cake...(which I shouldn't have ordered but it begged me too! The place is small, but it is well run and tidy. And our food was great. Thank you.More

Wonderful location but the owner was extremely rude on our recent visit. We witnessed her telling other paying customers to move laptops off the tables or leave the cafe so larger groups could be seated. Also added additional options to our lunch and included additional...charge to our bill without asking. Heavy-handed, petty signage on the walls threatening to fine customers who bring their own snacks to accompany their coffee. Fond memories of this cafe from student days in Cambridge, but overall lots if small things contributed to very bad vibes overall. Will not be supporting again.More

Oh dear Andrew, let's assess this in stages... You overheard me asking a lady seated at a table for 4/5 with her laptop to move to a smaller table so that we could accommodate a group of five waiting for a table. The lady mentioned...More

One of my favourite places to visit, a hidden santuary in the middle of the city centre. Consistently great coffee and cake and the staff are very ‘real’. None of that false nicety stuff, honest and funny! The view out the window is a good...treat, always recommend visiting :)More

Awful experience. The lady who owns it is one of the rudest women I’ve ever met. I was told to hurry up when asking to use the guest toilet (which is situated behind the food counter- hygienic…). She also wouldn’t let us change our food...order when ordering and make several rude and impatient remarks while we were deciding. The whole place is cramped, over crowded and shabby. The owner has shown her greed by trying to shove too many tables into what really is a poxy small room- you could barely move in there. The tables were dirty and you are served your food on cheap horrible plastic plates - very good for the environment!! I definitely wont be returning, worst eating out experience I’ve had in a very long time.More

Had a really poor experience here. The older woman working the counter was both rude and aggressively condescending whilst I was using their bathroom, seemingly unprovoked. The coffee was, unfortunately, very average too. Looking at the response from the owner to other poor reviews, it...seems clear that this kind of hostility isn't a rare occurrence. I hope her anger quells with time, though this is hard to imagine. Can't recommend.More

Overall this was an expensive brunch and it’s fair to say I didn’t receive “bang for my buck”. The paninis were decent but for the £7 I regret going elsewhere. The coffee was ok, but again I believe there are better alternatives (hot numbers for...example). Customer service as mentioned/ demonstrated in other complaints could be better.
