Location and contact

Beautifully renovated building dating back to the 1870s giving traditional East-end classics a Cambridge education. The menu has been designed to be completely customisable, with a wide range of vegetarian and gluten free options. British staples like Fish and Chips and Pie and Mash made with quality ingredients and a creative flare that turn these humble offerings into more than just comfort food. To wash it all down there's a great range of Gin, a small but carefully selected wine list, 5 cask and 8 keg lines.

Location is a little out but the food was good and well portioned. The only thing I would say is the table is a little sticky

Just a friendly place to hang out with my dog and pals - I couldn't better the service and welcome for me and my out-of-town pals and my dog, Dudley, received. I haven't eaten here yet but when I do, I'll update my review. A...More

I bought a child's fish and chips as a takeaway for my granddaughter as a treat. Unfortunately it didn't really meet expectations. The batter looked anemic and it was very oily. There were three tiny portions of fish, the majority of which was batter, the...More

The staff were efficient and friendly. The menu is unusual in that you get to choose how your fish is cooked in a choice of batters. I chose the beer battered which was the palest batter I'd ever seen. My husband chose the seaweed and...More

We went for dinner with family and were very impressed, both with the atmosphere, the staff, the drinks and especially the food. We were greeted warmly given a table and a drinks order taken whilst choosing our food from the menu. My wife and I...More

Came in with a friend for a quick spot of lunch, we both had the steak & ale pie - was delicious! Will certainly be returning next time I’m in Cambridge

Over rated and over priced. Mediocre at best. Poor table service and menu options. Photos online didn't match up to the actual meal. Dessert was Xmas pudding cheesecake, more cheesecake than Xmas pudding. Wooden table tops wet and slimey in places. Cheap metal chairs that...More

Good service, ambiance and drinks but sadly very underwhelming food. Ok salmon fish cakes, fried Brie and calamari (although 5 rings for a main is a little small), but very dry steak and ale pies, anaemic looking batter on fish and weird apple crumble which...More

Had a great evening and meal at The Architect with friends. We enjoyed some shared nibbles and then either various types of pie or the halloumi option. Well cooked, with nice sides and tasty sauces. Excellent beer, good wine and really friendly staff made it...More

We wanted to take my visiting italian brother in law and girlfriend for a lunch out to try fish and chips. We picked the second best Tripadvisor suggested in the area, and this was it. What a discovery. You can basically configure the fish and...More
