Came here for a family meal on a Friday night - very glad we booked in advance as the place was packed. We ordered the calzone alla Pugliese, calzone Boscaiola, pollo Milanese alla Americano, Salsiccia alla Napoletana and the Casarecce pasta. Everyone cleared their plates which speaks to how delicious the food was! For dessert, we had the Limoncello crème brûlée, Coppa Nocciola, Tris di Sorbetti and La Margherita’s dozen, plus a hot chocolate and an espresso martini. Service was a little on the slow side but we didn’t mind as dishes were being made from scratch and the waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for its quality food and great hospitality.

We received a friendly welcome at this bright, modern restaurant and were offered a choice of two tables - lucky timing as the restaurant was full and we were glad we had booked. The food was good and everyone was very careful over the allergies that two of us have. This restaurant offered more choice for people with allergies than many other restaurants. We woud definitely return next time we are in Cambridge.

Loved our visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent. Staff extremely friendly, was not issue when my wife asked requested no mussels in her Risotto Fruitti Del Mar. I also went for the same dish, £15. The garlic ciabatta and ice cream for desert was excellent. Loved the atmosphere.

We went here with my parents when they visited. I'd been once before as a student, and we thought we'd try it out. We weren't disappointed - the food was great, the service was great, and the prices were a shade lower than most of the similar alternatives we looked at. We will definitely be back. Between us we tried aubergine rolls, risotto, calzones and pizza - all to be recommended, along with the excellent range of gelato-based desserts.

As an Italian, I'm always very surprised to see how mediocre "Italian" pizzerias can be so highly rated. Service was very poor and inattentive; it took 20 minutes to order our meals and other 25 to get them at the table. Pizza was a bit better than the average here.

Great food. Lovely seafood risotto and the most amazing lasagne. Gelato was served so cold it made it hard to taste it and there were ice crystals in it, so a bit too cold. Maybe buy it on a warm day! Lovely tiramisu. Would definitely recommend and return.

Oh thank you so much Jean Pierre and team for making yesterday's birthday bash so enjoyable and delicious. We did not have a bad meal between 9 adults and 5 children. We were given one of the function rooms which gave us privacy and also allowed the children to enjoy themselves without disturbing any of the other diners. The house red was very palatable and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cambridge

It's a smallish a restaurant that provides good front of house service. The food is basic and I had the pizza which was so tough that even the knife I used was unable to cut it. The topping want great and it wasn't a sourdough base. I ended up leaving half of the pizza due to being too embarrassed at being unable to cut it up. Other than that it was clean and pleasant and the company made up for the food.

Fresh, good quality traditional Italian food at excellent prices. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive - they served our large group very efficiently. There is a good range of dishes from pizza and risottos to sea bass and Salsiccia. Vegetarians in our party were very happy with their options, especially the Involtini. Puddings were generous and looked terrific. Highly recommended.

My daughter visited the restaurant recently. She had a delicious main meal. However, she told the waiter at the beginning of the meal, and also again when she ordered each course, that she has an allergy to nuts. When ordering her dessert (a selection of ice creams) she asked him to please make sure that a clean scoop was used for her ice creams (caramel and chocolate) as she noticed they had pistachio ice cream on the menu as well, and it was really important that she didn't get even a residue of pistachio on her dessert ie no cross-contamination. She noticed that the waiter was a little off-hand and seemed bored with her mentioning the allergy yet again, and said there were no nuts in her choice of ice creams. She didn't feel he was listening to her about using a clean spoon to serve the ice creams.
Sure enough, as she ate her ice cream she began to feel the tell tale feeling of a tingling in her lips and throat and she knew immediately that there had been some contamination of nuts in her dessert. She doesn't like to make a fuss and didn't say anything as she left the restaurant, as her priority was to get home as quickly as possible in case she needed medical care. Fortunately she was OK a few hours after taking her meds. She really liked your restaurant, but it was a very scary experience and could have so easily been avoided. Please can you make sure that the waiters are fully aware of how important it is to take allergies seriously and the chef is aware how vital is is to use clean cutlery when serving out the ice cream scoops, as a quick rinse doesn't always get rid of all traces of nuts.... Thank you.

Certainly not a terrible experience but our meals were 6:10. Pizzas were ok but the menu slighly unusual. Pizzas were quite small (think Pizza Express) and they were very doughy and not crispy at all. They were tasty but expensive. My friends said all their pasta were ok, no complaints but we all agreed we probably won't be back. It is a shame as the venue is amazing and we all try to avoid chain places

What a wonderful find and such a warm welcome behind a most unassuming exterior. We had a meal for the family and there was something for everyone. On arrival, some of the family were starving and bread and olives appeared rapidly. The menu is delightful with not only the expected pasta and pizza, but also traditional Italian-inspired mains, so often overlooked in the UK. I would not hesitate to return whether for a three course meal, a lighter meal or one of the excellent pizzas.

Food is tasty and good, looks fresh and served well .The prosciutto and the salads were very good.
Aubergine with cheese is a great choice. The pork was good coffee and the vanilla ice cream with Kahlua liquor were great finale

Have eaten here numerous times, thought it deserved a review. Great local family-run Italian restaurant just opposite Magdalene College. Friendly staff and consistently good food at reasonable prices, with a decent range of pizzas, pasta and meat/fish dishes.
My favourite dishes - Pizza Arrabbiata, Maiale (pork fillet) with Marsala, and Pollo Milanese with spaghetti Napoli. The sea bass is also good, though it’s a big portion! Excellent range of ice cream and a few other desserts - the Tiramisu and Limoncello Crème Brûlée are both yummy, the chocolate cake is delicious but huge.
It’s often very busy, booking may be advisable, especially in the evenings. I don’t give many 5 star reviews, but this place is all I want in a local Italian restaurant.

Popped into our favourite Cambridge restaurant for lunch after shopping. Usual warm welcome after freezing walk around town. My wife was delighted when the waiter brought to the table a glass of hot water to heat up her frozen hands!
Food and service excellent as usual, topped off by the super tiramisu.
You can’t beat this place.
