Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location is perfect, right above the white sandy beach at the end of a terrace of old sea-facing houses. Well run place, lots of specials, friendly staff, do theme nights from time to time. Tempura prawns were outstanding. Moules frites also rather good. Not expensive,...went twice in 2 days as it’s so obviously a good place.More

Fabulous. Fabulous location right by the beach. Fabulous pizza, and fabulous, friendly staff. We had the specials pizza with the super food salad. Both were great.

We visited Alderney overnight and moored on a visitors’ buoy in the harbour. Fantastic, friendly and very welcome water taxi to the landing pontoon. We liked the look of The Moorings and had a fantastic meal. The American burger was absolutely delicious, as was the...scampi and surf n’ turf pizza. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent fast service, great selection of beers and first class food. Highly recommended.More

Nearly twenty six years after our first visit, which was during our honeymoon, it was a welcome return to the perfectly placed restaurant on the beach at Braye. Lovely views, splendid food, and it didn't break the bank. We'll be back, and maybe in less...than twenty six years!More

Tides prrevented the expected leisurely dinner after a channel crossing but we forund a good central table and food was servced quickly staff were helpful and catered well for the group - good Abbot beer and basic Fish and Chips went down well - this...was generally a good dinner together. Only one slight criticism is that the batter on the fish was not cooked through but the chips and mayo helped. All goodMore

Pre-booked a table for Sunday dining and was warned there would be live music in case that was an issue. On the day of our visit received a phone call to warn us that band was now playing inside the restaurant because of poor weather....On arrival, we were very well catered for by manager and shown to a quieter side table already set up for us, menu explained and order placed. Well looked after and served delicious nachos, pizzas and drinks by hard working staff who were run off their feet by an extremely busy venue at the start of Alderney Week. Hope to return one day and sample more of the menu at a less hectic time for the establishment. Friendly service from the manager and her staff.More

Popped in here for a drink. Bought a bottle of wine good value for Malbec at £18. Looked at the menu. It’s restricted due to Covid but still look very good. This place had been recommended by somebody in the Bray hotel earlier today who...said that the pizzas were very good. So we ordered one pizza - you can tick the menu and have as many toppings as you like for £12 which seems incredibly good value. Also ordered a hamburger. Came very quickly it was actually delicious pizza with a very thin base, and the beef burger we had was also very meaty and delicious. Reasonable prices helpful staff. We will definitely return. Recommended.More

1st visit here, although this is our 3rd Alderney visit. Really enjoyed the chilled out dining. Shorter menu due to covid, so we chose the beef burger, which my husband said was an insult to call it that, as it was real meat and was...the best he had had in years. I had the chefs special Pizza , surf and turf. Which was amazing, plump juicy prawns and strips of tenderest steak. Best pizza ever. Followed by Passionfruit and Mango home made cheesecake and Eton Mess. Staff were great, 1 guy especially, who was so friendly, had customer service off to a T, really loved what he did I am sure. We will be back. Compliments not to just the chef.More
