Have been a couple of times before and it never fails to please. Aperitif in bar whilst you view the menu, fantastic sommelier, attentive and personable waiting staff. Food was delicious at ever, bread trolley a joy as usual. I had been really looking forward to the cheese trolley as my personal highlight but illness had taken my appetite so... More

We booked Simon Radley about two months ago on reviews from other guests and were blown away. We started with a lovely aperitive in the bar and got canapés served with the drinks, after this we moved to the restaurant and enjoyed the a la Carte menu which came with all kind of extras. The food was absolute delicious, service... More

The greeting we received was friendly and professional which set the standard for the whole of our evening here. The bread board is a joy with such a breadth of choice. The food was well cooked and presented with the combination of flavours and aromas mesmerising. The predesert cheese was a real surprise but such a joy as a sharing... More

Booked the taster menu (Thurs 15th Dec) for my sons 22nd Birthday as he really enjoys trying rated restaurants. We were not disappointed. Not only was the food excellent, dynamic and beautifully presented but the front of house service was seamless. Welcomed at the door like old friends, our questions re wine and food were answered eloquently with a great... More

Normally find that restaurants in big hotels aren't as good as billed but really enjoyed our meal here. Very accommodating over portion size, excellent service and brilliant wine suggestion by the sommelier.

We were lucky enough to be invited here by two friends who were celebrating a joint special birthday. Having decided to go for the taster menu we were frankly blown away by the selection and quality of the food. The tastes were superb and fabulously put together. A particular favourite was the Scallop and Yellowfin and later on the Bergamot... More

Our first visit here. After a difficult start everything was fine, lovely meal and good service at an appropriate pace to enjoy the Tasting Menu with matching wines. The difficulty was a bit of a surprise. Wanting to have a reasonably priced bottle of sparkling wine as an aperitif, we asked for a bottle of house Prosecco - only to... More

Let me just start by saying the service in this place is the best I've ever seen and I've eaten in great restaurants around the world, the attention to detail is second to none, we had the taster menu explained excellently by staff and a good time in between courses as we were there over 3 hours, the bread cart... I do enjoy a draft beer or two before dinner and this is my only quibble no draft. we both had the tasting menu and of course we had the wine pairing so a good night was enjoyed by us both. Nicely prepared food presented to perfection and explained adequately by staff. Hope to be back in the area soon

Thank Phil B

Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
