Came in for a quick meal after moving house & witnessed a stunning "meal" 10/10 defiantly will be back & highly recommend the Ribeye steak :) Martin was extremely welcoming & I look forward to our return and trying more of Claire's cuisine magic!

A bit dated and it was so cold. Food was ok but not great. Don't think we'd go again ... could do with a refurb I think

The pub has a pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, great food, what more can you ask for. The open fire was an added bonus!! We had the fish and chips and the special burger, both were lovely meals, would definitely go again

Booked a table for myself and partner and both opted for the roast beef Sunday dinner . We were told there would be a half hour wait which was fine as I enjoyed a couple of the excellent cask ales my partner a lovely glass of Shiraz . The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection the roast potatoes and... More

My partner and I had booked for Sunday lunch with 4 family members. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 12.30 and the pub was absolutely freezing. We had to eat with our coats on. My son ordered the fish dish from the specials board and the rest of us ordered Sunday roasts. After about half an hour... More

This used to be a friendly pub serving quality food in pleasant surroundings. In our first visit in over a year it seems to have gone down hill, tired upholstery and dirty threadbare carpets. The food which was once excellent is now at best average.

In need of a "midweek blues" recharge we called into the Greyound Inn having driven passed it a few time and wondering what it was like. We had a great evening not knowing what to expect. We took advantage of the "Wine down Wed" offer. Excellent food and the wine was to our liking too. Definitely recharged after our visit

Eaten here many times as it's the nearest restaurant to my house. It's changed hands many times over the years and no one seems to have got it right. The decor is dated which is fine because it's a country pub so it can do but the restaurant tries to be contemporary but with pub chairs, wine glasses on all... More

Super local pub, friendly, warm with a good variety of real ales. Went on a Monday and had a shared platter. Was really nice and will definitely recommend. Staff were friendly and went the extra mile, even put the log burner on to make us feel warmer after a days shopping in Chester!

Fabulous pub food produced in a great British, traditional, friendly and inviting surroundings. The award winning kitchen is a hive of creativity where the venue's passionate, talented, and creative Head Chef, along with the rest of the dedicated team, work their magic as they cook freshly prepared, and locally sourced meat, fish, veg and dairy products, as well as freshly baked artisan breads. The seasonally changing, modern Great British-Style menu's, are the epiphany of today's "gastro-style" pub restaurants, but along with a sense of the "home-comforts", often contain that "twist" on tradition, as well as flavours and variants on recipes from all over the World.
