The Falcon pub is in my opinion one of the best pubs in Chester'it offers an excellent range of Samuel Smith's beers at a price in Chester that is unbeatable. There has been a building on this site since the very early 13th century. The Falcon was first used as an Inn in 1778 but in the 1970s the Falcon was empty... As usual from a Sam Smiths pub the drinks were great value for money. Unfortunately when we visited there was no food available and we were advised it won't be on the menu for a couple of weeks yet. Plenty of character in the pub.

Called in last week, not been for a while and it seems that it's a new landlord/lady nearly everytime i go i, the beer wasn't really up to scratch and had to give it back and exchanged it for a lager and I was charged an extra £2.10 on the flip side it a very interesting building and the drinks... Well... The beer here is £1.90 a pint... So you kind of know what you're expecting... But let's face it, who can complain when you're drinking in 1980's prices. The building itself is incredible, it's chesters oldest pub, and it's a lovely place at that... Roaring fires in the winter and very welcoming. The locals look like they have one... More

I love this pub, the quaintness, the beer, the decor. My last visit was shambolic, I ended up walking out after waiting to get served for over 10 minutes. It wasn't busy, I was acknowledged yet regular customers just coming in were served first on a continual basic. Poor poor service from the one member of staff that was on.

What a great little pub. Really good beer and very well priced especially for us southerners. They only sell Samuel Smiths but that's a good thing, enjoy.

Called in for a pint on a tour of the city and enjoyed a perfect pint of Sam Smith's bitter in this fine old inn.

Lovely traditional British pub with plenty of character. Lively venue, don`t think I saw any televisions to distract from conversation. Good quality selection of draught beers and largers at excellent prices. Clean environment but not spoilt with modern fittings. Friendly helpful staff
