Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great atmosphere and fabulous food. Added bonus they stock Verdant beers, which finishes the overall experience. Simply the best - you just need to go!

OMG, absolutely the best burgers I've had out, beats the heck out of those chain companies, and any burger I've had in a pub, truly delicious, so good I had to go back. Great friendly staff too. If you're in Falmouth, make The Meat Counter...a priority place to eat, you won't be disappointed.More

We went to this burger joint in between public houses one evening at about 7pm. We ordered the The Bad Muthaclucker chicken burger with Korean BBQ sauce which unfortunately dominated the taste and over powered the other ingredients some what and the Double Bacon Cheese...beef burger which was absolutely delicious. My friend paid £23 for fries, a can of coke and the burger. EIGHTEEN POUNDS for a double burger that was smaller or at least as small as a McDonalds offering. The chicken offering was £13.50. The waitress turned up with metal piercings in her face and an attitude to match when I mentioned the high price whilst paying the bill. You can order main courses in nice Cornwall restaurants such as the Cellar Bistro or Papa Ninos for under £20. How can they justify these astronomical prices for a dish that takes no skill to cook or design compared to classically presented food or hearty Italian dishes? In all fairness the burgers were tasty, the service was swift as it does not take very long to knock out two burgers - five minutes we waited after the waitress took our order. Other reviews have mentioned prices via the internet being 20% higher and the shakes having been larger originally are now smaller. We have no experience of this ourselves, but if this is true it sums up some of the businesses in Cornwall. Grab as much money as they can, any way they can. This burger joint has big windows and they will see you coming! Take out a bank loan before crossing the Tamar bridge, or visit the Italian Rivieria and get better food cheaper.More

The meat counter. Well the flat peak wearing gift from god who cooked my burger, thank you. To say the least an orgasmic experience. The burger was pregnant with flavour, the bun crisped to perfection and a perfectly crunchy leaf of lettuce. Although I would...say slightly more suet would round the juiciness off to another level. Mac and cheese was the perfectly blend of cheesiness with pastaness, nice…. Maybe a little sprinkle of pangriTATA for extra bit of mouthful texture. Chips come in plentiful. Nice. Verdant hells an amazing choice of beer to compliment a really slutty burger. Thanks very muchMore

After waiting what felt like an eternity with only a few diners in, for two burgers, two fries, slaw and two cokes costing £44 you expect something pretty darn good. But it wasn’t. Burger sauces didn’t enhance the burgers they completely overpowered the meat and...the flavours were frankly odd. Slaw without vinegar (?) was tasteless. Chips fine. If your going to charge £14 for a burger at least make it memorable for the right reasons. Way overpriced.More
