On arriving the bar maid wasn't particularly welcoming, just sort of nodded her head backwards to say 'what do you want'. Not very inviting! We ordered drinks and sat outside for a bit as we were early before heading in for our booked table time....She just pointed to a corner and that's where we sat...lol!
Food.....terrible, battered fish was dry and horrible, my Niece's scampi was from frozen, the same rubbish you get from Iceland...to pay +£20 you would expect fresh, (perhaps watch a few episodes of Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares).
The best bit was what I assume was the bar manager....leaning on the bar with his elbow tapping the screen with his knuckle for extra coolness, what a joke.....and when I went to pay he just quoted the amount, no 'how was your meal', 'thanks for coming, 'hope to see you again'. Well luckily for him, he won't as we won't be back. We're local and have been several times but sadly never again.
The Pandora is a beautiful setting and is extremely busy due to its location, however put this pub somewhere less scenic without the trade of holiday makers and it would struggle if it was the food and staff that it were to be judged on. Oh and your benches outside are rotten, running off reputetation.....
Cheers and gone......More
