Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a nice find and experience. Took a quick November trip to Cornwall Looe - and looked for a place for quick coffee and cake but and went past this place which looked cosy and quaint. Was buzzing and full so we so we tried...several others in the Looe over the week. The last 2 days we got in early - and glad we did nice classy cozy and warm on a wet morning with a gentle buzz of chat and homeliness. First time we sat next to a guy working on his computer - who shortly after us sitting down, engaged us in a friendly chat - it was in fact Adrian one of the owners........what an interesting guy - a magician who moved down set up the cafe with his wife. But not just a cafe for visitors but for the community, hosting now and again small gatherings (eg mens, womens health meetings, jazz and gin nights etc). So not just a cafe but also supporting the community - and promoting interaction. However, we went there for a nice coffee and cake - and were not disappointed - coffee was great - best americano i have had - and i thought they were more or less all the same. Waffle was perfect sized portion. Second day, our last day in Looe - we went for the cook breakfast - again perfect size (and great to see three sizes of cook breakfast) - excellent portion size and local sourced produce. Although normally i am not a chatty guy in that atmosphere breeds casual interaction - and learnt alot and felt as a valued person/visitor........what a nice experience.....something i did not experience in other cafes in Looe/cornwall - that was just cafe and cake. I have to say loved the ethos, loved the experience and wished i had one of these on my doorsteps - i would be down then nearly every day.More

Nice place friendly proprietor- service not bad, not brilliant. Had to ask for seats to be unlocked. Not impressed as they just gave us the key and a tea towel to DIY - not bad price but could do better.More

Thanks for your review. Apologies for your experience with the chairs but due to the rain and forecast that day we'd assumed no one would sit outside and inside, understandably, was very busy. The weather suddenly changed (Cornish weather eh?) and customers decided to sit...More

Popped in for a cream tea after a boat. Lovely little coffee shop with friendly staff. Cream tea was superb, as were the pancakes and waffles. It's definitely worth a visit.

Just stopped by for a light lunch, and this place offers this. Great light bites and definitely great coffee(+decaf too). Very friendly and helpful staff. So worth walking pass all the other places for this one. We saw a returning visitor just wanting to have...a photo with the owner, so a good sign of a lovely place 👍More

Absolutely amazing breakfast this morning at The Lookout! The vegetarian breakfast was outstanding, with divine veggie sausages, as was the Cornish Breakfast. What a lucky find. We happened upon an establishment that fulfilled all our needs - a beer and a little sandwich for one of us, lunch for the second and a Processo cream tea for me. All cream teas are definitely not all created equal....This was fab - the scone was so light and delicious and I do like my jam and cream decanted. But the icing on the scone was the truly delightful Ed. I don't know if you have trained him incredibly well or he just "gets it" but he is so personable and professional. What an asset he is and what a shame he is off to Australia for the rest of the summer! We look forward to returning.More

There are not many places you can go where literally they will do anything for you. My Sister and I wanted to sit on a bench by the water rather than in the cafe. The staff were so kind they offered to bring us a...scone already made up with a coffee. The scone was warm and soft and omg so good. The jam was stunning. Probably one of the best scones with cream and jam I've ever had. I can't find a fault with the coffee either. I think it was the owner who sat inside, he was lovely, very happy as were his staff. He greeted you with a huge smile as soon as you walked in. Also the cup, the lid, the box everything was biodegradable. Great experience and one we will do again next year.More
