We stopped at this cafe in the afternoon for a pasty. Hand sanitiser was provided at the main entrance, and tables were distanced with Perspex between them. Prices were reasonable for the pasties, I ordered a traditional and my partner ordered a green Thai curry pasty and they were both very nice. Would recommend visiting this cafe!

The smell of fresh baked pasties draws you to this place and everyone agreed that it was worth the wait in the socially distancing queue to get served. In that time my family finally made up their minds on what filling they wanted. The choice is your biggest problem the range on offer is vast. All my family agreed that no matter which flavour pasties chosen they were all delicious!

We attended this bakery after visiting a couple of others in Looe and this was by far the nicest and friendliest bakers we've been to. There is plenty of choice and you could tell the pastry and cakes are all cooked freshed. Highly recommended and think it is great to see they support emergency service personnel too! Appreciation goes a long way:D will definitely be visiting again

Use Presto regularly, but unfortunately now looking for somewhere else. Please tell your staff to make sure the coffee is hot and do not use yesterday's stale scones. Have been caught out on several occasions and at nearly two pounds for a scone and butter this is not acceptable. Scones only last for the day!!! Staff are nice, but the place is not as homely and friendly as it used to be. Great Shame.

I was not impressed had to request serviette and a knife, the table needed clearing from the previous customers considering they were not busy I would have thought that this would have been done automatically once vacated. I also object to paying extra for a small sachet of tomato sauce. I shudder to think how they cope in the height of the summer season!

Mavisburton... I am really sorry to hear that we did not hit your expectations. You are right, table cleanliness is imperative and should be done every time one of our customers leaves. I will focus on this with my staff and make sure this doesn't happen again. As for knife and serviette, we leave these at the end of the counter for our guests to help themselves. This should have been interpreted to you on ordering. If this wasn't then I am sorry for the inconvenience. Please try us again, we will do our utmost to hit all our customers satisfaction.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a cup of tea and a snack on our visit to Looe. I had a peppermint tea, which was very nice and the place was very well set out for Covid restrictions. However paying almost £10 for two sausage rolls and two cups of tea was a little steep I thought. However, my main suprise came when attempting to get sugar for my partner's tea. There was only brown sugar and Candarel (which I've not seen in years). I did try to get the counter persons attention to no avail so my partner had to have brown sugar in his tea which was not to his liking. All in all, ok for what it was but I don't think I'd visit again.

Rachel, I am so sorry to hear your experience with us was not up to scratch. I would like to invite you and your partner here again so we can assure you a better experience. As for the sugar, I have not been informed that we have run low or even run out of white sugar recently. I will look into the matter and make sure this never happens again. Please accept my apologies and I sincerely hope we see you and your boyfriend soon.

So, some time ago I had a holiday on the Southern Cornish Coast - I was heavily into pasties and everywhere I visited I tried an original pasty - this location was the best I had, by a long way. This visit (to Polperro) I didn’t have time to do a pasty survey, but where else would I stop other than “the Cornish Pasty Shop” for a cream tea on arrival and then a pasty on departure today - my wife had a cream tea, at 11am this morning, and enjoyed it lots too. When I say a pasty we also left with 11 pasties to bring home, a mixture of medium and large and sausage rolls. This is a great shop, the cheery Sherry is a lovely helpful lady and 20/10 for customer service to the guy (whose name I didn’t get) who let us have his own personal large carrier bag ( a supermarket bag for life) so we could carry our stash back to the car… Highly recommend this great place for eating in or taking away

My boys love the cheese straws so I have to get there early before they sell out. The pasties are lovely too. Great veggie selection. The best deal is at the end of the day when their pasty selection is half price 😉

We went there after reading all the good review and see the amazing photos of the food. The place was really dirty on the floor, chairs and tables unfortunately i saw this only after buying the pasty. Only 2 person eating and nobody buying at that moment so why not clean a little bit?. The person selling the pasty sent the young men to clean the table so he went with a cloth and just clean really quickly throwing away all the crumbs to the floor and chairs / couch so i had to clean it myself before to sit and he even said: that would do it?, really?. The pasty was ok, nothing special and not served on plates as the pictures shows just with on a paper, same as take away.

Amat97. I am extremely disappointed to hear this. We have been getting a load of really good reviews and for us to not hit your standard is very worrying for me. You have my word I will look into this matter immediately. During these times we know the importance of hygiene here in the bakery and I am disappointed to hear that you were not satisfied with the cleanliness. Please come back to our bakery anytime and ask for me personally (store manager - Mark) and I will guarantee a better visit. Again, truly sorry.

Superb pastries and excellent coffee. Dont be put off that the cafe seems like sn add. It looks no frills but absolutely delivers premium coffee and perfect croissants, Portuguese custard tarts, pasties etc. Perfect for a continental breakfast or mid morning treat.

We stopped by for Cornish pasties and coffee and we were not disappointed. Both options were a delight and coupled with the decor and the polite, friendly staff we were very happy with our decision to visit the The Cornish Bakery. However our little girl banged her head quite hard by accident and the staff acted quickly to help her by providing Ice and water and even a small cuddly toy (which she loves) to ease her pain. Charlotte was a star and gets an extra mention for all her help. Very impressed with the food and service and would highly recommend for anyone to visit.

Popped in here with my partner for a coffee and we were delighted by a very warm welcome. The staff were chatty and friendly and very accommodating. We had a hot chocolate and my partner had a cappuccino, which he said was the best coffee he’s tried! We also tried the ham hock sandwich which was delicious and a piece of Cornish pudding which is a must! Definitely visit here if you’re in Looe!

I visited the bakery Tuesday afternoon with my young children and was served by a lovely girl called Louise. She was very patient with my kids and very helpful. She recommenced the Bacon Leek and Cheese pasty for myself and I must say, it was amazing. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you again Louise for your great hospitality. I was made to feel really welcome:)

Window display looked fantastic and we were not disappointed. Bought croissants, plain scones and fruit scones to takeaway. Scones were delicious, could have just eaten them on their own, though we did have them with cream and jam. Croissants were superb, flaky and butterery. Even when heated up next day. Will definitely be back.

Purchased 2 x Sausage rolls to take home and eat. When we tried to eat them the pastry was not fully cooked and the sausage meat was white. We immediately chucked them in the bin. Next day we wanted to make them aware of the issue but not even an apology was given. I had proof of purchase on my iphone apple pay but the wanted the old sausage rolls back. Do they really think i would go to the trouble of conning them out of 2 sausage rolls. By the way there was no response from leaving a message on their website. Its not the money but an apology would have been ok. Lady in charge was horrible and basically rude.
