If you are in Mousehole and need a snack, then stroll through the village to this cafe. It is 50 yards from the tiny beach at the far end of Mousehole. A varied but small menu, prepared while you wait. Graham, the owner, is a friendly guy always willing to chat and pass the time of day. A lovely touch... More

The Old Pilchard Press Cafe (open 08.30-17.00) provides basic lunches from tea & crumpets to crab salad and obligatory Cornish cream teas in a small art gallery. Very friendly & cosy.

Cosy little tea room does look a little tired, but the cream teas are lovely, fresh scones with plenty of jam and cream. We have visited a few times before and this place has never changed. Will probably call in again some time when we are back in the area, well it would be rude not to 🍰

The owner gave us a very warm welcome, the full English breakfast was great value, cooked to perfection. We had a nice chat and he gave us some useful information of where to go in the area.

My husband and I called in here on the way to our rented cottage as we were early. The proprietor was friendly and relaxed and served us proper tea and good coffee as well as a very tasty local-ham sandwich. The decor is a bit shabby and maybe could do with a bit of modernisation but that's not a deal-breaker.

To be fair I only went in and got an ice cream to go but it was tasty and good value and if you are passing by I would happily recommend you grab yourself an icecream from there.

A small lovely cafe, my mum and brother, had an amazing crab sandwich, which was obviously very fresh. The homemade curry, was also nice. Very friendly waiter and CHEF! As well as that, the prices were very good.
