How is Selkies Nqy rated?

We have just returned from a long weekend here and it was brilliant Debbie & Steve both very attentative, the accommodation, they even gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco each on our anniversary. Selkies was just what we needed, a spacious, clean and tidy...room with en-suite to sleep at night. We also met Alban one of the barmen and he was just as great as the owners. The food was delicious, seriously recommend the cheese board platter, halloumi and the garlic mushrooms. We will definitely be returning in the very near future.More

Hidden Gem

Very nice cosy cocktail bar with a very friendly welcome and feel. Seven of us booked a table for a sat evening, five teenagers and two adults, the teenagers can be fussy eaters but everyone loved the mixed meat, cheese, bread and salad planks washed...down with fabulous cocktails. We will be back again soon.More

Fantastic cozy bar with rooms above.

Wonderful tucked away bar, with great food, drinks and lovely staff. Gorgeous rooms above. Highly recommend!!! Lots of activities going on, live music, quizzes etc a must visit!!

Hidden Gem

Absolutely love this place, fresh, modern, relaxed and very friendly, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The sharing plates are VFM and very fresh and tasty. Best Cocktails in town too.

Take some time out to try this place

Early evening meal with our two teenage daughters. Really welcoming, relaxed, dog friendly place. Food is a lightly different from your usually stuff, was fab and enough to satisfy our ‘picky eater’. Beer good, food great, service brill , atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Would definitely...visit again. Thank you.More

Golden wedding at selkies

Great night,golden wedding celebration for our friends peter and Cynthia. Platters were delicious, atmosphere brilliant and entertainment first class. Would recommend for visitor's and locals.thanks Debbie and Steve for a brilliant night

Excellent venue for drinking / socialising some nights entertainment. Expecally the menue they do the most amazing cheese platters absolutely 5 star not forgetting the service and staff thank you all

Relaxed and friendly

In Newquay for a weekend and delighted to have stumbled across Selkies. Welcoming atmosphere, great service and brilliant staff. Make an effort to pop in and you won't be disappointed.

Probably the best breakfast in Newquay

The breakfast we had was amazing and could not fault it. Our friends had avocado on toast and not only did it look divine they said it was out of this world. Ours was the traditional with eggs, bacon, beans, toast and the most divine...poached eggs. Staff attentive and could not fault the place. Can't wait to go back.More

Sharing delight.

Lovley evening as a 1st time visit and we can't wait to return. We had a meat & cheese sharing platter for 2... the food was fabulous- such a mix of foods that all goes well together. amazing food

I found this place by accident as it just off the main street in Newquay, however I am glad I did as it has great food and great wine.

Amazing Warm Service

We only called for drinks, felt so comfortable there. The lady went over and above to help. Then when her husband arrived he chatted to us and made us so welcome. So we're going back tomorrow for lunch. Looking forward to it.

Out on a quiet night in Newquay

Tuesday after an Easter bank holiday is very quiet in Newquay. Lots of places were closed but we came across this little gem of a place. Do some interesting cocktails and a variety of tasty sharing platters. Even accommodated us arriving later than we should...have. Owner was full of local info and recommendations.More
