We had to go through the ‘tradesman’s’ entrance as seriously high winds made opening the front doors dangerous. This entry was actually a bonus as it meant that we wereable to see the chefs doing their stuff in tbe kitchen at close quarters. The smells...were incredible! As were all the staff. We had a sharing plate which was really good value and absolutely delicious! Great views, delicious food, impeccable service. What’s not to love?!More

We four loved every mouthful. Between us we ate monkfish in Serrano ham, scallops with cauliflower puree, seafood linguine and crushed roast potatoes with confit garlic. The chefs are highly accomplished and it is wonderful to watch them in the open kitchen. The setting is...delightful, the service professional and friendly and the view is simply the best. It was all remarkable and memorable.More

What an amazing place to eat! We stumbled across this gem by accident, and we were not disappointed. The service was outstanding, with Amelia taking great care of us, and all the staff were friendly. I've dined in restaurants all over the world and have...never left a review, but this place truly deserves one. Hats off to the chef, and the homemade bread is a winner. Thank you, guys; we will definitely be back. ❤️More

My partner and I came here to celebrate both our birthdays and we’ve always wanted to try this restaurant. We booked well in advance as it’s a small place and didn’t want to be disappointed. We were greeted with friendly staff and seated quickly. We...had a glass of Prosecco each as this was for a celebration. Although I assumed this would be free, it was not! We shared the scallops to start and they were beautiful!! For mains, my partner had the seafood linguine which was well presented and tasted amazing. Same for my main, I chose the monkfish which was cooked to perfection. We were so impressed and have decided to make this our yearly birthday treat, we look forward to coming again next year!More

The 4 of us had a fantastic lunch that was of a very high standard & great quality -The food was outstanding! We were made to feel really welcome as the service was; friendly, polite & professional without being "over the top". They also welcome...dogs during lunch service. I would seriously recommend a visit here rather than any of the other fish restaurants in Newquay or for that matter in Cornwall. Thank you all very much at the "Fish House"More

Booked a few months ago to guarantee a table. Arrived earlier than expected, told our table wasn't ready. No problem, beer next door. 15 minutes later Alex then phoned us to tell us to come down as they were ready. No pressure whatsoever from the...restaurant. The food was stunning. When Mrs G says she's in seafood heaven then you know it's the top draw. Ordered the hotshells for main. She loved it. The Sri Lankan prawn curry takes you to a spicy, creamy, hot world with an incredible taste of super fresh prawn. The restaurant is compact, but well presented. Special thanks to Montana who served us. Polite friendly and nothing too much trouble. Take a bow Alex, Montana, Hannah and all the behind the scenes kitchen staff.More

Last review was “Cornwall’s go to” Always been on the list, but this time a bit disappointing. Generally the menu delivered, however the potatoes served with the sea bass were described as al forno. My understanding was Italian roast potatoes. Sadly they were sliced potatoes...swimming in oil, in my view inedible. The accompanying broccoli also suffered from the oil slick. The sea bass survived!More

Such a fabulous place. The food is incredible and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They need to make their focaccia so you can buy some to take home, it is incredible. Thanks again for a great lunch.

One of the best meals we have had in a longtime. The food was very tasty and well proportioned. The service was excellent with care taken even for the dog. Although not huge you did not feel cramped and the music in the background was...just right. I would certainly highly recommend a visit and will return in the future when next in the area. The food was not over priced for the quality you received.More
