Dreadful soggy chips. Very nice fish and batter. Cardboard tray to eat out of. Cafeteria style order at the counter and it was delivered to your long shared table.

Stopped in on the off chance, got an outside table overlooking the beach, lush hot, sunny day! We ordered the cod curry, Nasi Goreng, Bread and poppadoms and loved every bit of it, left full and happy.. we’ll def be back!!

Fish was delicious but meal was ruined by the worse chips I’ve ever tasted. Had to pay for an hours parking just to pick up a rake away!

We were very disappointed with our visit to Rick Steins fish and chips at Fistral Beach. I had the Beef Rendang which was basically £10 for a load of rice with some dried up curry sauce on top with a few bits of Beef, obviously...More

We were treated to dinner this week and all seven of us enjoyed warm service, beautiful food and very generous portions. We visited last year at lunch time and the atmosphere was just as relaxed but was very busy by the time we left. I...More

Situated with tables overlooking Fistral bay - a stunning viewpoint - the food did not disappoint. Fish was excellent. Chips for me about 7/10 personally. On the expensive side for fish and chips at an average of £10+ per person for meal and drink, but...More

Nice double fried chips and the fish was great too. They also sold nice local beer. The chips were not the cheapest I've ever had, but the setting was great and we went back for more the next day.

We came from the US and had no idea about where to go in Newquay. Got lucky when the hotel recommended "Rick Stein's", without having a clue who or what Rick Stein is. They serve Fish-N-Chips or various curries. We all had curry with a...More

Description
Rick Stein's restaurant in Fistral, Newquay, is casual and laid-back serving Rick's famous fish & chips as well as Indian takeaway with dishes inspired by Rick's travels including Goan chicken curry, lamb karahi, pad Thai noodles, nasi goreng and vegetable makhanawala. Cod, haddock and lemon sole all feature as well as fish chilli burgers and Rick's famous homemade tartare sauce, aioli and authentic curry sauce. Overlooking the iconic Fistral beach, this has to be one of the best places to eat in Newquay whilst soaking up the sun and enjoying the Cornish coast.
