Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Priority is given to take away orders whilst customers who have walked to get there are left wondering if anyone will come to serve them. A real shame as I was looking forward to a vegan breakfast and visited the Honey Pot 2 years ago...but this time was treated with complete disdain by the staff member at front. An unpleasant and unwelcoming greasy spoon pretending it's not. Avoid.More

Don't miss this place for breakfast or lunch. We went for both. Incredible local food and baked goods. The crab sandwich and salads were great. And oh, my daughter and I had the chocolate cake and it was incredible.

Context: Stumbled across this place, hungry on a Sunday lunchtime while in the city. Cosy and warm. Positives: Excellent food, friendly services. Good wifi. I had a tuna jacket potato which was huge! And came with two brilliant salads. Negatives: Time-wise, I think we were...lucky to get a table. They close very early and turned away many people after us. Summary: Well worth a visit. I wish this place was always in walking distance from my house.More

A great spot for healthy food in Penzance. The cream tea can be taken away to eat at a later stage if you have eaten too much for lunch. Highly recommended, and will be returning to this gem!

We travel 600 miles from Scotland each year to holiday in Cornwall. The Honeypot is always our first port of call for food. Amazing selection, freshness of ingredients and fantastic array of cakes and specials are always on offer. Staff are lovely, welcoming you in...with a friendly smile. 5 stars is well deserved for this ‘wee gem of a place’ in PenzanceMore

Had a lovely chai hot chocolate and a gorgeous chai latte with delicious lunch. We had the pulled pork burrito bowl and the crab sandwich and thought both were amazing. The staff were attentive and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will be...back again!More

Love this little cafe, everyone is so friendly and the cheese scones are the best I have ever had, served warm with extra cheese and chutney, coffee was gorgeous too and I'm hard to please with that! If you're in Penzance and need brunch, lunch...or afternoon tea I would definitely recommend. They have gone to a lot of trouble to give customers a toilet too, which is commendable, thank you! Keep up the fantastic work. We'll be back!More

Cozy café. We met up with our daughter for lunch. Don’t over order as one course is plenty. They use fresh succulent produce and also create amazing flavour combinations. Really love this place 💕

We came here after searching for somewhere with a vegan cream tea and I was definitely not dissapointed. The staff were really friendly and the scones were fantastic. There was a good range of vegan cakes available too. If I wasn't so full I might've...been tempted by one of them. Next time we're in Penzance, I'm sure we'll be back.More

We researched restaurants for breakfast through Trip Advisor and found The Honey Pot. Their website said that they serve breakfast until 11:45am. On Monday 7th August we drove there, it took about 15 minutes to find a parking space and a few more minutes to...walk to the restaurant in Penzance. We got there at 11:30am. When we were greeted by a nice young woman and requested a table for breakfast we were advised that they were only serving cake and drinks until 12pm when lunch would start. We expained that their website said they serve breakfast until 11:45am. She said she would ask her supervisor who was behind the counter. The supervisor said they cound not serve us, it was now 11:31am. She said they were a very popular restaurant and they changed the hours to accomodate. I suggested that they should have changed their website which in writing said that they served breakfast until 11:45am. She simply smiled and was very patronising. We will never go there again and would never recommend it.More

Always busy but worth the 5 minute wait for a table if you have to! I can never decide what to have as there are so many delicious veggie options. We visited 3 times on our trip to Penzance. The food always tastes fresh and...homemade. Love seeing the full kitchen cooking up everything from scratch…. Cheese scones, crispy potatoes and grilled halloumi. A very special little cafe! Thank you to all the staff ❤️More
